    1.. Whats your height?
2.. Did you have crosswinds, when you faced this problem
3.. Do you have noticeable vibrations in your Ninja, especially in the windsheild and Fairing?

The above 3 can be reasons...

BTW, i am able to answer this, since i have myself done 160+ with an LS2 helmet, with no wind pressure at all. Only effect the wind had, that i could not hear my engine sound post 130 kmph, and heard only wind gushing.

    regards
Every time i am able to change my bike's engine oil, i feel like passing another semester amongst thousands, of being a proficient rider.

My Ninja's got 16k kms on the odo. The tyres are still looking good for another km or two. Going in for a change of tyres in a week though. PSD 140.

You can buy DSG Revive gloves. Excellent pair of gloves. Used them for over 2 years and now they are coming apart so will be going for new ones maybe from Spartan brand. Search for my post on the revive gloves in the riding gear thread.

I switched to PSD 140 size and using it without any problems since the last 5000+ kms. front tire is the same stock IRC though. No difference between PSD 130 and 140 except the slight increase in width. Oh yeah, with the 140 tire, you'll have to remove the FZ hugger if you went with Bluevolt's DIY since the tire rubs against the hugger even with just the rider on the bike.

thanks Aditya. So you saying you're still on your first front tire, or you replaced it with an IRC only? If replaced, any reason for sticking with IRC? I use both the brakes mostly so think i'll be changing both my tires.

On another note, am relocating to Blore in Oct, would love to catch up.

Been using the PSD 140 for over a year now... excellent grip, no compromise on top speed felt. very happy overall If you have a fender eliminator, then looks wise also, way better than stock.
If you are not afraid, you have probably chosen too easy a mountain to climb!!

Still on the stock IRC at the front.

The IRC on the rear was changed to 140 PSD at 17k kms since the center part of the tire had squared off. It would have lasted another 2k kms but i decided to change it anyway.

The front still has enough tread but i want to change it to PSD. Finding the PSD here in Blore is not easy.

Nice to hear on the relocation bit. Ping me when you get here.

                      Ride safe.

I don't remember buddy. I have taken her to 170+ speedo indicated but really at that time i did not have the courage than just to take a quick look at the speedo. So can't tell you at what RPM i achieved that speed.
P.S.:- Have tried it just once.

I have touched 167 max on mine. The RPM did not cross 14K at that speed.

Didn't know the bike can cross 170+ .. mine maxes out at 167.

I guess maybe the wind and hill were on my side that day.
And I did it in a tunnel on the Pune-Bangalore Highway.

You will touch 13,500 - 14000 when at a speedo reading of 176-180.
