    TCBI with Digital Advance?

    What is the difference between (TCBI with digital advance - ignition vs. Digital - ignition)??

    I think the 2010 Ninja shows that it comes with Digital Ignition and post 2011-2012 shows TCBI with digital advance.
    What does that mean and what difference would it make if we were to compare the 2010 model with 2011 / 2012 ?

      EFI (Electronic fuel injection) DFI (Digital fuel injection) ?

      Does the 2010 /2011 2012 Ninja 250r have EFI or DFI?
      Tried google for quite a bit but did notm get definite answers. The same with my previous question on the type of ignition. Hoping the Gurus here will have an idea. There are quite a few Mech Engineers i'm assuming!!

        Hello,

        Had my Ninja (Black) express shipped (seems like). Booked it last Sunday and now its in the showroom today. Delivery by Wednesday. So far a "wow" experience. Probiking, Chennai - courteous, information and helpful. Wow!

            Thanks for the response. And there is an R15 paddock stand in my house which is not in use right now. The new R15's swingarm wont support the old paddock stand right? If so I might use that stand for my Ninja with a few mods, am I right? The thing is how is it actually possible I am just a bit not soo good with these stuffs a little help required! Thanks in advance once again!

                    I have booked for the green 250 and i needed a padock stand for it, since there is not even a single padok stand in my locality, i need the full diamension of the stand for the 250 so that i can locally make one with the help of a welder

                        My guess is that it has both. Since injection and ignition are two separate things. Injection refers to the insertion of the air-fuel mixture into the cylinder, which is controlled electronically with a microprocessor and a fuel pump, while ignition refers to the firing of the spark plug at (near) the Top Dead Center of the piston to produce the power stroke in a four stroke engine. Hope this clarifies the basic concept.

                            What's the average life of front disc pads? Mine is just 4000kms old and the front pads seem to be totally worn out.

                                I made a paddock stand for my Ninja by cutting the R15 stand from the centre and getting a pipe welded in between, so as to increase its width to accomodate the wide swingarm of the Ninja. It looks neat and the whole thing cost me rs1570.
