This might be a puny 250 but it sure can make things go bad in an instant.
Ride safe mate.
P.S. Pick up the following asap. Available on torrents and highly recommended. Read this and practice hard.... preferably before you finish running-in the engine.
1. Sport riding techniques by Nick Ienatsch (eBook)
2. Twist of the Wrist by Keith code (vol 1 on eBook and vol2 on dvd)

Very well said.. some of my friends are already very excited about the Honda and discussing its booking prices with me , so as to make me feel low, that i got a 250 for double the price of a Honda. But only ninja riders know the truth, what our machine is capable of doing.
People come up with that wry smile, (which seems to suggest 'what a fool you are') and say arre did you see the Honda 250? It costs only 1.5 Lakh! The company I keep:

Oh! I have encountered so many!! I am already sick of explaining to people the difference between a twin cylinder 33 BHP bike and a single cylinder 26 BHP bike.

My friend, I think that you're getting worked up and defensive over nothing. All of us I'm sure have been faced with these questions in the last few months, mostly from people who have never ridden a 250R and therefore are armed with less than perfect information.
The comparisons are not an apples to apples case and therefore arguments can only be flawed at best. The CBR's have yet to hit the roads. I think that once they do, the arguments will cease by themselves.
In the meanwhile, I prefer to think that the Gods do not concern themselves with lesser mortals.

But I thought I would put it here, for it might be a lesson to the other riders in the group. The brake suddenly went kaput! totally failed, the lever would go all the way down. Since I rely on the front brake 90% of the time, I continued my ride and to my surprise, I found that after a little while, the rear brake started working again!!
The disc oil is on the lesser side, but I'm not sure that is the problem..I think its something else...spoke to Arif at PBK and he has asked me to get it down to the workshop. Will keep you guys posted.

I am so happy that the CBR is launched as a mass production bike. Good that ninja didn't go this way. I love the exclusivity and it would be dead boring to see ninja's competing with the autorickshaw's population figures.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Hmm..I think since there were no comparisions, the Bajaj guys did'nt need to advertise the strong points of the Ninja till now. Starting with the 'Power of 2 Cylinders' slogan advertised during the Green Day, I think they will now start differentiating the Ninja from the other 250's.
But to a Ninja buyer it hardly makes a difference, as in most cases the Ninja buyer is a serious biker who knows his C.C's and B.H.P's!The company I keep:
