As for 'thinking' - stop and plunge in! Have had mine for 11 months and 12200kms and loved every minute on it!
As an owner of one of the few blackies, I can tell you that you will NOT get any eyeballs with a blackie. It's not that the blackie doesn't look good - I still think that the black has a menace and sense of intrigue that the greenie will never achieve - but the greenie is just out and out eye-catching! Even superbikes have to compete for attention when the greenie is around!!
Oh! .....and the Blackie is one cast iron bi#ch to keep clean and shiny!!
Thanks Sir ,
Lets hope your info bout the green is accurate
! And i suffer the same with my R15 which's black ! I saw a green ninja parked on the road last week and it just looked wow ! So i still dunno ! will be a last minute decision i guess
Stock is boring , power is everything .

A high side is something that occurs when you are trying to overtake another speeding rider on a turn and you see an open space and you lunge on the throttle. What happens next is your rear looses traction and it starts to wobble. You then try to correct it, but only try. Before you know anything the bike throws you off and you land on your head.
Where can this occur?
On a Race track.
What saves your A$$?
A nice set of leathers, gloves, boots and of course your helmet.
To whom this has occurred recently?
Me
The good part is that I am fine and I was riding a R15 at the Yamaha Riding Clinic and not the Ninja, otherwise I would've had a big hole in my pocket.

Same thing at the same place happended to me. Maybe something to do with the quality/grip of tyres.
I too damaged my helmet (Arai
) beyond repair.
I broke my collarbone too.
edit: For some reason I feel that this would never have happened on my NinjaLast edited by rainy'or'rainey; 04-20-2011, 12:33 PM.They're all superstars, even the one at the back

Any one? Need to be quick as it might get sold.Originally posted by kedar3223 View Post
BTW one of my friends is on a lookout for a used 250r. Came across a mid 2009 model with around 13000km on the odo. the bike is in good condition. rear tire certainly needs replacement after some 1k odd km. What will be a good price to pay for it?

Going by the previous posts, if you had your DL they would have charged you more.Originally posted by hellbreaker46 View PostI was caught on Mysore road near my college, and my D/L was at my home, still they fined me only 300 bucks and let me off.
Now I'm never gonna ride without my D/L
Whoa. Helmet can be replaced so no bother. Bummer about your collar bone though.Originally posted by rainy'or'rainey View PostI too damaged my helmet (Arai

Get well soon.
Anything between 2L and 2.3L depending on the condition of the bike. Ask him to take it for a spin though.Originally posted by kedar3223 View PostBTW one of my friends is on a lookout for a used 250r. Can't blame the tyres, I use Pirellis, the fact is the Rider is generally to blame in such cases.
The difference is I was at a race track and fully geared. Any bike with decent power will do this if you suddenly open the throttle while leaning into a turn.
Aditya has summed it up nicely here
As for the helmet.. Arai/Shoei's provide the best protection for the price. And they are supposed to break completely to absorb all the energy.. Better the helmet than your head.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostI thought this can only happen when the rear wheel spins faster than the front (when you whack the throttle open while leaning). Loss of traction and immediate regain of traction makes the bike upright in an instant and throws the rider off violently.
I was using an indian helmet and its full of scratches but didn't implode.. however in an accident you cannot quantify the force that your head may be subjected to... So be happy that your head is fine.. sorry about your collarbone though.sigpicI feel like Clark Kent on the streets riding the Pulsar, On the track.. with my Ninja.. I feel like Superman.

As mentioned, I was at the same event (Yamaha Riding Clinic) at Chennai.
However, I am still not sure the tyres they gave on the r15's were track worthy. Even the instructors from Japan told me that it was not top quality rubber and that had it been better quality, i could have avoided the initial slide (the one that typically leads to the highside.)
On the other hand, might be my fault completely.
In any case thanks for the concern guys. They're all superstars, even the one at the back

I think the same type of crash happened on green day. U got r15 or it is provided by YAMAHA.
I think Stig is gonna be first rider from xbhp who have Ninja and going to get CBR250. Red is way better then black. congrats buddy.
