Cheapest option is to go for the genuine Honda Unicorn bike cover. It folds neatly and fits under the pillion seat too. Fits the bike well but i dont know if it causes any scratches to the paint surface or retards heat, smoke, dust, germs, etc.

Hey guys, finally got to the root cause for the problem when I went for short ride last night, I was facing problem of some sound at higher rpms.Originally posted by kariznin View PostJust forgot to add here, when today I had gone to PBk for check, got that 'kirrrrr kirrrrr' irritating sound issue at higher rpms also inspected. I told them it could be due to speedometer drive chain, so they lubricated that and also did there examination on front fairing loose bolts and other adjustments.
But, when I had taken the bike for spin the problem persisted. Told the mechanic about this, so he told that this is due body vibration, it will happen as when it touches such rpms fairing starts to vibrate a little and will settle down as you gain a constant rpm.
Guys, is that the case each one of you as told by mechanic ? If not, please guys help me out on this as this sound is really very irritating when you going really fast.

It was just that when I revved to around 10K rpm and above the clutch lever starts to vibrate a little, it is due to the clutch lever is little loose(not the clutch lever play but there is a slight motion when moving the clutch up and down).
I checked it by taking the bike to that rpm and then hold the clutch tightly towards the opposite side of the clutch usual play and then sound just disappeared
. I checked for this 5-6times and confirmed that this is the only problem.
Guys, can you please tell how can I tighten the clutch myself as I don't want to go to PBK for this.
Thank You everyone for your inputs on this problem.

Glad you were able to zero in on the problem. There was a post by bluevolt a few pages back and he had attached a link to the Ninja Service Manual. If you can get hold of it, you will find detailed instructions on adjusting the clutch play.Originally posted by kariznin View PostI checked for this 5-6times and confirmed that this is the only problem.

@ Aditya - Buddy, I'm not so sure that this has to do with clutch play. I had a similar problem around 2K kms and Jeeva at PBK Chennai resolved it with some kind of spacer/washer made of a plasticky/silicone-ish material as it was a rattling caused by the lever itself.
In fact I have the problem again now at 13.5K kms and am planning to take it to Jeeva again.

Mate, it's not the usual clutch play. I think it is slightly loose from the bolt that holds the clutch. I have not rectified it yet, may be some washer need to be put in there so that it holds it tightly.Originally posted by Sunnyside_up! The site clearly says - This listing is for ONE (1) brand new Kawasaki OEM Right Tail Cover / Fairing.
This translates to - Left tail cover / fairing is not included in above price.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

A few months ago one of the ninja owners had posted that it costs 2.2k for each tail piece at PBK and Bluevolt confirmed that the price was a steal. I'm not sure if the same prices hold good today.Last edited by n_aditya; 05-31-2011, 11:03 AM.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Pillion Rider Experience
Please let me know how good is Ninja taking pillion rider into consideration? Is it comfortable enough to cruise at high speeds with a pillion? I have heard its not recommended to do high speeds with a pillion.
Do all Ninja owners enjoy the ride without a GF? For bikes like these, its more or less meager if the GF is not roped in with your riding experience. I am kind of worried now about the pillion rider experience.
Throwing some inputs would be highly appreciated.

With your GF as a pillion , its pretty decent (since she can hug you for support).Originally posted by pravu View PostPlease let me know how good is Ninja taking pillion rider into consideration? However, for other cases, the person sitting behind has nothing to hold on to, so the ride gets a bit hairy. I have once gone with the girl as pillion about 250 kms, she didnt complain.
