Guys i am planning to get a Ninja 250R (Black)
I own a FZ (2yrs and 19days completed)
I just wanted to know. If I book a bike now, will it have a fuel gauge? cause the bike that i have seen doesn't has one and has only a LOW FUEL indicator (if am not wrong) but in some websites its shown that the 2011 model comes with white speedo and fuel gauge!
Can someone throw some light about this fuel gauge thing?
Thanx in advance

@Helios - Apart from the colour of the speedometer nothing's changed. The features are the same (no fuel guage). Actually its not that much of a problem to be honest. Its just getting used to it.If the fuel lamp indicator lights up & is constantly lit up that means you have about 4 litres of fuel so 4*22 = 88 kms to be safe can be ridden.

And that 88kms(approx) just made me feel better cause I was hesitating because of this specific reason!Originally posted by rohitraghavan View Post@Helios - Apart from the colour of the speedometer nothing's changed. You are really a too busy personOriginally posted by amitredefined View PostAfter 15 months, I managed to click few snaps of the GREEN
I know, does not sound realistic but its true...

That's Good !Originally posted by aquanav View PostAgreed in full! 75 days is long. Tried convincing the showroom manager to take a premium for a faster delivery, but was blown by his commitment. Car showrooms never hesitate to do so! So yes, it's a long wait, but from what I've heard & read, I'm sure it's worth the wait :-)
Here in Hyderabad they care a damn about customers.
Rather than First come First Serve, its First CASH Come First Serve
No news for new colors other than Green/Black as of now..Originally posted by Helios View PostAnd one more doubt. Is that white variant ever gonna come here?
I suppose after the release of CBR, its raning Ninja's here
Even the PBK Hyderabad manager was saying that they are comparitively getting good no. of bookings from the past couple of months.

CongratsOriginally posted by Malpotra View Postfinally took delivery on 1st june....
4000 rpm is killing me.....
The bike keeps on telling u to rip it...

Is it the Flashy Green or the Mean Black ?
Its indeed very tough to maintain the run-in that too on a Ninja... I can imagine
But you have to do this
Btw, When did you book the bike and how many days it took for delivery?
PS: Any compliment given from the dealer you purchased

I was looking for cover which is heat resistant at the muffler, so that as soon as i park in , i can cover my bike..
As of now only option left is Oxford rainex or aquatex.
I use a cover which I ordered from ebay, around an year back.
M B - Kawasaki Ninja 250R 250 R Bike Motorcycle Cover | eBay
Its fairly heat resistant, however I do not cover the exhaust. I can easily fold it and keep in my bag.
Have never parked my bike in the office without it.sigpicI feel like Clark Kent on the streets riding the Pulsar, On the track.. with my Ninja.. I feel like Superman.

Some pages back, there was a discussion about Ninja’s ability to tackle flooded roads. Here is my real life experience as of yesterday :
Our city; Pune; experienced heavy rain fall yesterday. As usual, there was water clogging, rivers of rainwater flowing on street, traffic jams, switched off traffic signals resulted in heavy traffic jam.
My residence is just 2.2 km away from my office. After I left from office, I got stuck in heavy traffic jam with no space to move ahead. After waiting in the traffic jam for 20 minutes in heavy rains, I got a lane free to take a detour. I took it. As soon as I turned, I found out why this road was free…..
A river of rain water was flowing towards me. Due to non existence of rain water gutters and 3ft high concrete road dividers, water had no other way to go. No one; two wheeler or four wheeler dared to enter this heavy flow. I knew the road and also knew that there were no pot holes, manhole covers etc. on this stretch.
So I decided to go ahead. Immediately, water level rose to submerge both my foot rests and my feet on foot rests. The water level was at least 10-12 inches. Initially, I was revving the bike but within couple of seconds, remembered the upswept exhaust and stopped revving. I was easily cruising in water. I guess the aerodynamic nature of fairing also helps in riding in water. The water wave created was at least 2.5 ft high but since no one else was on road, I was not bothered to reduce speed. Only challenge was varying water pressure.
After travelling for around 700 mtr, I came to a relatively clear road and continued further without any issue.
So anyone who wishes to ride his ninja in standing, running water upto a level of at least 1 ft can do so without worrying. (If you know that there are no potholes on the road)
Narration over.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.
