Upswept exhaust makes all the difference.Originally posted by saipranav View Posthandling 2.5 feet of wave of water is very difficult man,i'm glad your ninja did it, my friends cbz succumbed to just above 1 feet of water....
Edit : The wave created was 2.5ft high and not the water level. How I know that it was 2.5 ft high? My backside aka posterior was drenched by the wave

I have a small doubt, you mentioned that you stopped revving once you remembered that you have an upswept exhaust, does that mean that revving in that water level with an upswept exhaust is bad.... or is it just unnecessary?Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostUpswept exhaust makes all the difference.

Tis not the you can ride all way 88 kms long in that 4 litres man. You must top up as soon as the light lits up to be on safer side. The 4 litres must be only used in emergency cases. If you keep on riding nearing the last 2 litres of fuel left in the tank, you'll prone to fuel pump heating issue & may burn a big hole in your pocket!Originally posted by Helios View PostThanx guys. And that 88kms(approx) just made me feel better cause I was hesitating because of this specific reason!
Glad that you had done it safer dude. Even though if you are sure about the absence on potholes on that road, tis wise to take the safer & clear route as there may be chances of recently created potholes due to the strong flood flowing water. We can't predict & take chances as the potholes may also be created within a hour or two.Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostSo anyone who wishes to ride his ninja in standing, running water upto a level of at least 1 ft can do so without worrying. true. but it's quite possible that the bike is from a country that has restrictive licenses.Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostI fail to understand why people spend so much money on a bike? This guy must have spent at least 50% of cost of his bike.
Wouldn't it be better to buy a bigger bike in the same amount?
in places like Oz etc. "newbie" riders are stuck with leaner bikes for 3 years or so.
so the owner may well have thot to himself...
hey... if i'm stuck with it for 3 years.. might as well make it my own.
if you think the red ninja is tricked out... have a look at this.
this is by far the most tricked out N250R i've seen.
that rear tyre looks like a 180 easy... might even be a 200.
yes. that's what it is.Originally posted by therealabhinav View Postwhats an upswept exhaust??

whew.... so ninja for boating, touring, racing true all rounder. more than the exhaust angle, it is the height of your air filter. (about 1 and a half feet ) water should not reach there, else ninja stops.Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostSome pages back, there was a discussion about Ninja’s ability to tackle flooded roads. Here is my real life experience as of yesterday :

Narration over.
current issue of bike mag had a ninja Vs cbr compare. and cbr beats ninja hands down... you know in what .... the price. rest of the article some fancy writing in favour of cbr, all the test results are for the ninja. now will have to wait for the yamaha 250 to try and dent the ninja Armour.Last edited by harikeshpk; 06-05-2011, 11:49 AM.Mountain biking on impulse with my wife and our bike goes down in water
