disc pads are 1221.. disc plate will be expensive.. no idea for the price..
Get the bike check at PBK and update us with the reason for the same..RIP Marco

Mine had done 5200 KM, rear pads are now just feather thin, same is with the front ones too but they just a little better than rear.
I think, I need to change both during 2nd service.
How come some guys rear pads lasted for so long? Usually my braking distribution is 70:30 b/w front n rear but 70% of my riding is within city.

Did a short ride for about 80kms today. This was the first time I have driven the Ninja for such a long distance.I didnt find any problems with the seating position or maneuvering around in traffic. It was just splendid for a first timer like me.Previously I have driven only the P200.
Didnt go beyond 4k rpm most of the time, but had short bursts two three times upto 6k.The pull was amazing,it pulls even in 6th gear from 20.The exhaust sound is more like a howl rather than growl.
Sureshot eyecatcher on road, I enjoyed so much attention
There was traffic while coming back,so started feeling the heat, but the meter didnt go beyond 75%.so i continued without stopping.Headlights are like floodlights, superb coverage.
Small problem I noticed was,the shift from 1st to second is a strong thud, while the rest of the shifting is very light. Also I had problems with the sixth gear,it didnt fall a few times.Any ideas why??
The seat is hard, guess have to make my bum harder!
Got to ride the cbr immediately aftr that,it was 1000km old,so the engine was more free and the sound was different.
and when i released the clutch, its almost like a small jump. And it didnt pull as easily as the ninja.
Am not biased,JUST MY VIEWS!
Overall am extremely happy with my baby ninja.thank you all for so much of info.AweSome is too LesS!

@Vinbex: good that you took it for a spin. Ninja is a screamer, but only in high RPM zone (9K+ rpm)...moreover in twin cylinder setup, don't expect a growl like V-twin
The thud sound, u r referring to, I felt actually during shifting from neutral to 1st, only...rest were just normal.
The 6th gear shift issue I also felt few times. But if it's sure-shift, u won't face anymore...press the lever at least 3/4th of the play while shifting and issue is no more. This is very initial phase and things will be lot smoother after first servicing, as people already experienced.
I am planning to complete the 4K limit by coming Sunday...will travel to Trichy...after that, can experience uproar of the twins
Motorsport is fun. Safety is a mandate. Be in shape & ride long
