Hey AFIKOriginally posted by n_aditya View PostThe stock bulb and the Philips X-treme power (and previously X-treme Vision) all share the same product codes - 12729.
My assumption is that our bikes come with the X-treme vision +80% brightness bulb as stock (same product code but other minor subtle differences are present in the bulb coating etc.) which has now been phased out and replaced with the X-treme power ones. Thats why you feel the improvement is only marginal.
In the US markets their stock bulbs are not philips and they have expressed superior levels of satisfaction upon switching to the X-treme visions/powers.
X-treme vision +100%
X-treme power +80%

Get it changed as oil is past it's prime time...Try to use MotulOriginally posted by Ananth View PostYes people riding with me have said I'm a little hard on the throttle , so could be the loose tappets. I feel it while Idling and in slower speeds. In higher speeds i do not hear it anyway.
Another reason, Its been a while since i changed the Engine Oil. 2500-3000 Kilometers. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

I am Using Motul Semi Synth only. I did not get time to go and get it changed, and last two visits the Engine Oil was not available with the dealer near Pbk. So got delayed this time.Originally posted by psr View PostGet it changed as oil is past it's prime time...Try to use MotulPhoto Gallery[/B]

Adi,
thinking of getting either:
1. Phillips motovision
2. PIAA Xtreme white
which one is better? am hearing PIAA's burn out quick.

Engine oil is not the issue here. I change the oil once every 5k kms and still it looks good for some more kms color and viscosity wise.Originally posted by Ananth View PostAnother reason, Its been a while since i changed the Engine Oil. 2500-3000 Kilometers.
Got both these mixed up. Thanks for correcting me. X-treme power has been phased out and is no longer available at retail stores. The website still shows it though. It has been replaced with X-treme vision.Originally posted by degenr8 View Post
Not sure Sachin. No experience personally on the above mentioned bulbs. Rahul (bluevolt) was using the PIAA ones in his bike, you might want to check with him. Ask the ninjette guys for help if its urgent.Originally posted by sachinzeus View PostAdi,

One thing i should mention.... the white light bulbs will be of no use if you ride in the rains since the light will get reflected off the road. There is a reason why there is a tinge of yellow added to the bulb so it can be used all year round.
Must have ridden alongside a bike with a digital speedo.Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostHow were you able to come up with a figure of 58kmph?ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

How much did you buy them for, They charged me 600 bucks for one bulb.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostThe stock bulb and the Philips X-treme power (and previously X-treme Vision) all share the same product codes - 12729.

@6th gear 4k is a little bit above 60 and 6k is a little bit above 80 when am shifting at 6k rpm in all gears, Do not know the exact figures.Originally posted by bikemanic View Postwhats the speed @4k rpm & @6k rpm
Also if i am not wrong this speed is indicative of at what rpm we shift in the preceding gears.

I also got them for 600 bucks per piece. Best to pick them up from Chawla motors, 3rd street, JC road. Genuine and very friendly and is the authorized distributor for Philips. Refer to the philips site for details.Originally posted by firen View PostHow much did you buy them for, They charged me 600 bucks for one bulb.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

How old is your bike?
Is your FI light on always? Else it could be that your battery has drained off as well.
Either case get it checked at PBK.
