    • Update on ROLON chain :

The price of Ninja chain has gone up and now the new MRP is Rs.2950 per chain.

They are still working on sprockets and will update whenever it is ready.

          • Green Ninja Spotted in Ahmedabad

Any Ninja Rider from the group passed Ahmedabad on 5 November early in the morning around 6:30 - 7:00 as the Ahmedabad group noticed him and even waved a hand, if so please identify, we all missed an opportunity to meet up it seems.

            P.S.

The rider was wearing a Yellow Jacket it seems

Normally a chain should last more than 25-30,000 km. Your riding style dictates this cycle. If you are a very rough, jerky rider, chain / sprockets may need a change even at 10,000 km. Knowing your riding style, I doubt that you would require it before 25k.

No problem at all man the speed depends on lots of constraints like gradient of the road weight of the rider and many more things...

                • I'm new to the thread, but just wanted to let everyone know that I just booked my black 250R in Bangalore. I've been told that black Ninjas take longer to deliver and I'll have to wait for another 2-3 months though. It's quite tough to wait. Everytime someone speaks of the Ninja 250R, I end up smiling. It's like being in love.

Bikers from Bangalore, would love to meet up sometime!

Actually Kiran, the speed at a particular RPM would only depend on the gear in which you are.
For the Ninja 250r the facts stated by Bikemanic are correct. In 6th Gear at 4K RPM it is a little less than 60kmph on the speedo and a little over 80KMPH at 6K RPM.

Doesn't sound like a Ninja 250 at all! More like an inline four

Any reason for a price up from rolon..?

I suppose.. someone might have told them the price of the original chain .. aka 7k..

The initial chains that came in were directly from R & D department and not a normal sale unit. Now that they have formalised production, they must have revised its pricing.

Two points to keep in mind here -
                              1. Rolon provides X ring chain whereas stock chain is O ring. X ring is supposed to be far superior to O ring chain.
                              2. Rolon chains are available easily whereas stock chains are not.

Waiting for rolon to come up with sprockets sets at a competitive pricing.
