Why didnt you stop and pick up the end can? It costs 18k for a new one.Originally posted by harsha645 View Post.just before 400kms of the bb2500 i jumped over speed breaker(could locate it) with some good speed and the end can just fell off
after that for i rode without end-can which is much louder than my TYGA free flow.
i didnt pickup the end can from there due to obvious reasons
Also it is extremely harmful for the engine to ride without a muffler. The loss of back pressure due to absence of an exhaust will cause severe damage to the valves and other engine internals. Even when one upgrades to an aftermarket pipe there is reduction in back pressure but this is not much. Riding like this can cause extensive damage and you will be presented with a huge repair bill.
See my post above. In the quest for eyeballs and attention from girls you will end up paying a bomb for repair bills.Originally posted by hellbreaker46 View Post2 days earlier I removed the muffler of my Ninja, I posted about it yesterday asking if it was harmful (which I'm sure it is because of the engine running lean).correct me if I'm wrong.
I raced with my friend's stock ninja in a straight line and my bike (without the muffler) smoked it. It's revving effortlessly now. The exhaust note is so loud that people turn around to see what's coming. And you get a lot of attention from girls, actually some of them in the college do acknowledge that the sound is too good
.
I did it just experimentally, and there is a definite increase in power and torque especially in the mid-range and the exhaust note does sound good infact too good especially during upshifts.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

1.its around 2 a.m so obviously i couldnt even source a single boltOriginally posted by n_aditya View PostWhy didnt you stop and pick up the end can? It costs 18k for a new one.

2:the end can is very much hot then so it would have taken atleast an hour to let it cool, source the bolts or manage something and then to mount it on the bike which would have spoiled my BB ride completely
3.its not possible to carry it on the bike
4. I have slightly dented end can with me for which i claimed insurance and got new end can(i got new one as they couldnt remove the dent),
because of the above reasons i couldnt pick up the end can. After the loss of end can i rode very sedately keeping in mind that it may damage engine internals.
Thanks for the concern aditya

Thanks
I've put back my exhaust muffler.(today in the morning)
the bike ran for almost 20kms without the muffler.I don't think it should be an issue.
Fearing damage to my engine I put back the muffler and didn't ride for more than almost 20kms. Though it was revving effortlessly and it even smoked the stock Ninja.
Will never ever remove the muffler again.Last edited by hellbreaker46; 11-26-2011, 04:21 PM.My Stable.....

Wasn't me though.... haven't been able to ride my baby for 15 days now, coz of travel.

Front disc issue!
Hey guys it has been 6500kms and 6 months for my Baby Ninja..
Recently after 2nd service, my bike's front braking has lost its "BITE" The brakes feel like Drum Brakes now :O
When I check the wear of disc pads there is some good amount of brake pad left but at the rear of front disc, there is a lot of black Break Dust depositing...
I was wondering what could be the problem here... Should this be a faulty disc pad???
Also, my rear disc pads had to be changed at second service... There was around 2mm left in the pads but my rear disc had scratches along the disc on both the sides
@Harsha: Congrats for the amazing Feat buddy

Query
guys, just a query and sorry to butt in. Many people here have experience on both the N250R and R15, even some own(ed) both. Please tell me, is there any difference in the Riding positions of both the Bikes.
I personally Ride a R15 and thinking of getting a N250R(or something equivalent) after 3-4yrs. with a low income-high inflation, I need to plan accordingly from now
My concern is because I feel tired due to the cramped posture of R15 during long rides(>200kms) so I want a Bike with a more relaxed position.

The riding position of the R15 is sportier and more aggressive as compared to the Ninja. ( I prefer the R15's seating position over the Ninja). Also during heavy braking the R15 gives me better feel as compared to the Ninja, though the Ninja has stronger/better brakes. Again the R15 is more agile as compared to the Ninja (smaller wheelbase). The Ninja is more stable in the corners, even the R15 is damn stable but the Ninja is slightly more. Cornering on both the bikes is easy. But still if I had to pick up a winner in handling I'll vote for the R15.Originally posted by Prakritij View Postguys, just a query and sorry to butt in. The max I've done on a Ninja is almost 190kms in a day and no fatigue whatsoever. Also I think the age does matter. but still if you want to tour for >200-500kms, the Ninja is definitely better. I'm not as experienced in touring as other guys here but many of the guys here have ridden for more than 1000-2000 and I don't know how many kms on their Ninjas in a day.Last edited by hellbreaker46; 11-26-2011, 06:44 PM.My Stable.....

I did 350kms+ on two instances on my R15 and came back tired and fatigued. many has even Leh'ed the R15 without probs but all are not same.Originally posted by hellbreaker46 View PostThe riding position of the R15 is sportier and more aggressive as compared to the Ninja. strongly considering the N250R as my next Bike. but before investing that much amount, I want to make sure I don't get tired or fatigued after long Rides as I do now. The Bike being the best 250 can take any beating that I know but I can't
long Rides happens once in a few months but still.....

The position on the Ninja is not as sportier as the R15, as in the incline is lesser...Originally posted by Prakritij View Postguys, just a query and sorry to butt in. You just need to get accustomed with the riding position on the ninja...
As you already riding the R15, Ninja would feel more relaxed to you interms of position...
I did 500+ kms in a day from Hyderabad to Bangalore and no issues as such... except for the SUPER HARD seat

i cant comment whether if you can really feel comfortable on ninja or not because it differs from from one individual to the other.
best thing you could is if you have any friend who is having a ninja take it for a ride on highway(say 100kms) and find whether its comfortable or not
and ya as many complains about the seat its super tough but it i dint have any problem even after riding continuously for 36 hrs

Check if the Probiking guys gave you the original Ninja disc pads. Once they had replaced mine with Karizma pads (ofcourse, they asked me before doing it and said its the same fit..Karizma earlier had Nissin brake pads which apparently were of NInja caliber but of late they had sourced it to a local company and the brake pads turned out to be shitty)and it gave that lack of a bite feeling. So check if they are the original pads. If the pads are original, you might have to bleed your brakes once for any dust/air and recheck once again.Originally posted by kiran_borra View PostHey guys it has been 6500kms and 6 months for my Baby Ninja..
