You just need to get accustomed with the riding position on the ninja...
As you already riding the R15, Ninja would feel more relaxed to you interms of position...

I did 500+ kms in a day from Hyderabad to Bangalore and no issues as such... except for the SUPER HARD seat
    Thank You bro

So check if they are the original pads. If the pads are original, you might have to bleed your brakes once for any dust/air and recheck once again.
I got the rear disc pads changed and no issues with the rear brake!
The issue is with the front brake which is still running with the pads that came with the bike during delivery

Recently after 2nd service, my bike's front braking has lost its "BITE" The brakes feel like Drum Brakes now :O

When I check the wear of disc pads there is some good amount of brake pad left but at the rear of front disc, there is a lot of black Break Dust depositing...

I was wondering what could be the problem here... Should this be a faulty disc pad???

Also, my rear disc pads had to be changed at second service... There was around 2mm left in the pads but my rear disc had scratches along the disc on both the sides

There is a wear indicator on the pads. Its a line in the center of the pads. I would suggest you to go to the PBK center and get the thickness checked. Brakes are something which you should never neglect or ignore.

If the depth of this line or groove is almost non existent you would need to change the pads. My first set of brake pads were changed at 6k and the next set was at changed at 15k (could have lasted around 1-2k kms more but i was taking the bike to track so changed it for safety sake).

If the brake feel is spongy which your post suggests, then get the brake fluid drained and new brake fluid filled. Ensure the brake lines are bled properly. This will sort out your weak brakes for sure

Yups, I did check the pad wear, it was pretty ok and no issues found...
What's hinting me is the brake dust that's depositing on the rear side of the front disc..
Just now totally cleaned the disc with a soft cloth and took the bike for a 20kms spin...
When I was back again I could see the brake dust on the rear side of the disc..
Front side of the disc no dust is found..

I'm thinking if this should be any issue with the brake pad quality!!!

If we say it's a faulty brake pad, I was not facing this problem before for the first 6k kms....

          • Hey Kiran

I would suggest you remove the pads, give it a scrub, clean the caliper and rotor with a brake cleaner, wipe it properly and then ride gently without using the front brakes at all. Then stop and inspect. Repeat the ride with normal front brake usage and inspect the brakes again. I have got good results with Cyclo Brake Cleaner.
You can take the ride away from me but you cannot take the rider out of my soul.........

I personally Ride a R15 and thinking of getting a N250R(or something equivalent) after 3-4yrs. with a low income-high inflation, I need to plan accordingly from now
My concern is because I feel tired due to the cramped posture of R15 during long rides(>200kms) so I want a Bike with a more relaxed position.

I ride both.. so to give you another view, the Ninja provides a Riding Position which lies between an R15 and a Karizma. Since you've been riding the R15, you would find the Ninja more comfortable on long rides.

This, my friend, IS the bike, the entire developed world has been learning to ride bikes on. For almost 2.5 decades. This IS the bike for beginners!!

                        • Hi,

I am not sure if this question is of relevance in this thread. Apologies if it ain't. I just bought my ninja 250 four days ago. I did the first 100kms @ 4000RPm and 100 to 200 I took it to 5000Rpm & I am planning to be progressive between now and about 3000 KMs. Since i see a lot of veterans...request comment and if this is not the right way please suggest an alternate.

Secondly, i have done 230Kms so far and i am planning to do an oil change. So the second oil change will be at 600kms. Suggestions & comments pls

It is extremely excessive and not actually required.

I too felt the riding posture to be similar to the ZMA when I sat on the 250r.
Totally relaxed and there's no forced crouching at all like we'd have to do on the R15.
