Nope, but people do indicate to us, all the time, that bikes headlight is on. There isn't any law against headlight. I use my car's headlight (at possible speed trap stretches in and around Delhi) during the daytime, simply to avoid getting caught by the laser speed gun. Last time when I was speeding and got caught, I even asked the "thulla" about this headlight business and all he could say was that "aapko pata hai toh pooch kyun rahe ho".

Not in Pune. I was stopped once in Kerala. I told him there is no switch to turn off the lights. He just let me go.
Nothing illegal about lights running, by the way. They have no legal obligation to stop you.

        • Teflon coating

Got my Ninja serviced today. I was in for a pleasant surprise. I had got teflon coating done by PBK on June 2010 and paid around Rs. 950 for that. I didn't knew that after 6 months, they redo the coating again. The service engineer by chance was enquiring about teflon coating, when he revealed it. My Ninja is spik and span as new again.

Any one else whose got teflon coating from PBK, ask for you 2nd round of coating within 6 to 12 month of the first one.

          • @bluevolt Could you please let us know the Load Index and Speed Rating of the Pirelli Sport Demon tires.
Its mentioned as H or S speed rating for Ninja 250.
Is that okay, if we use higher load index numbers?
I have also noticed "TL" at the end of the tire size of Pirelli . What does that mean??

              • Help needed!!

Guys, how much would be the initial down payment & booking amount for N250R in Mumbai? for remaining amount i will be going for a bank loan. I have recently booked a CBR but there is a huge waiting period for it. In the meanwhile I am checking this option if everything works out well, I will surely go for N250R.
                Apologies if this is OT.

                Thanks in advance.

The Sport demon comes in both S and H speed ratings, which is more than enough for what the Ninja 250 puts out WOT. It is recommended that front and rear have the same speed ratings.

Why do you need higher load index numbers - 54 front and 62 back is more than sufficient, no matter how heavy your girlfriend is. Unless you are planning to enter your bike for a "human pyramid on a Ninja 250" competition. But logically, you'd have to up size to get a higher load rating.

deliveries in New Bombay as one day if you pay cash... upfront.

it'll take about 3 weeks if you opt for a loan...
and the down-payment is about 1 lac ish.

also... if you really like the CBR250R... you can always ask the showroom guys to "give" you the receipt number of a cancelled booking.

you'll have your bike in a couple of weeks.

I forgot man, that was some time ago. I first paint pens from "color rite" to touch up the bungee cord damage on my tail, but it was not a 100% match. Also because the touch-up paint is not cured so it is slightly darker. So later I picked up a pen from Japan which is an exact color match.

                          www.colorrite.com

I had ordered online from color rite the first time but it never showed up in India. Then I spent the same amount of money to re-order it to a US address, and then I picked it up from there.

I have put my numbers just above the Kawasaki logo as in bluevolt's. Move upwards, if you want bigger numbers.

I was searching for 140/70/17 in the website and found load ratings 66 which was higher. So just wanted to check...

Like I said, you would have to upsize (from 130) to higher in case you wanted higher load ratings.

Not sure of other options than the stock IRC and the SD's.
