Most likely it is an electrical gremlin, but like you said, the report will be out in a few days
You were right, it was an electro Gremlin alright. They put in the new throttle assembly and it still gave out the glitches. So they had to (that's what I was told) reset each and every sensor, video assisted by guys in Pune. It appeared that one of the sensors was sending inconsistent/wrong signals to the ECU.

Said it was rare, since everything was showing the correct readings when it came to voltage etc.

I have looked around a lot but have across only in one store in Tokyo. I picked one piece which is now on Alok (HK)'s Ninja. It is actually transparent, so it takes the color of the tank.

Very unlikely you will find this in India, unless some enterprising importer has got them.

what is "Electro Gremlin " ? is it an usage to indicate unknown electrical problems ?

is there any first aid to at least to bye pass/cure this gremlin thing on ninja sensors in an emergency ? like resetting the ECU etc?

          • Guys anyone of you have bought the Ninja on Finance??

If Yes, then can you please let me know what are the available options for 2-wheeler loans and the interest rate.

Went to PBK today. They have HDFC and Bajaj as their financers. But they prefer HDFC because of quick approval I asked for further details but no one from finance was available.

Yes, a way of saying an error which is not easily found. The origin of this usage lies in Roald Dahl's (who happens to be my fav writer btw) book called "The Gremlins", which was the story of small creatures who caused unexplicible damage to RAF planes during the WWII.

But I don't know the way to reset the sensors. Beyond my DIY skills But if such a thing occurs, it is best to run a through check of the wiring and harness connections, which includes fuses, spark plugs, vehicle down sensors and the like. But you should be comfortable stripping your bike down to the engine and frame.

one has to accept the fact that super bikes are complex machines reliable no doubt but beyond the scope of DIY during rare compliant like the one you had. even though a critic of RE bullet, i lived with one through the longest years of my biking from punjab to trivandrum.spotlessly maintained i should say the bike was so simple you could do most repair on the road and ride on. these are the times when really feel the greatness of the RE. do miss my RE.

                            • Back in Action

Yesterday, took my Ninja to the PBK. They changed the oil filter as it was not changed during first service and tuned the bike and did some tuning from the left side of the fairing and then, she was back in action again
Also, before going to PBK had a word with technical person Mr. Sirish at Motul CC in Mumbai,he told me that when going in for semi synthetic oil change, they are launching a new product by this month end 3100 4T Gold Line 20W 50 Semi-Synthetic.
So any of you guys going in for change to semi-synthetic can enquire and go for the same as it meets the recomended grading.

It is 9% per Annum buddy
Your calculation comes to roughly around 8.5% or so per annum.
