Congrats Adi.. another gift for your bike.. cool...
Can i also buy it and keep it safely at your place..
Yeah it was sort of a first birthday gift. Was very busy that day and couldn't detail the bike but made it a point to make this purchase even though it was late. I tied the tire to my fiero and rode home. Curious folks on the way kept asking for which bike did i buy this tire.
Hope she is not disappointed. This weekend a thorough detailing job is due. She's gonna shine as always and get some decals on.
thx for the invite,sunnyside..let me get through the first service and running in of ninja. After that wil join u guys on rides..Btw its been 5 days since i've taken delivery. And its been running like a dream..Before buying it i ws a bit apprhensive but i've no regrets now..This bike is just pure pleasure.
I saw a green ninja in my office's(Amazon.com) parking lot now . Any of you working in SP Infocity ? I thought i'll be the first one in my office to get it ! Let me know if its anyone from here ! Would be nice to meet a fellow ninja owner !
Why does it take 7K for a service? Assume the price of oil is 1.5K & labour is 1K, what else goes for 4.5K? Don't tell me the labour itself costs 7K

I have not done the 3rd service till now .. so can not comment on what all they do..
But heard that the labor being specifically trained , charges are 500/hrs or so.
I think even litre bikes service cost lesser, though am not sure. 7K every 3 months for service alone is a real deal breaker for me
I think servicing of litre class is even more expensive. I think their is a video on you tube of the mechanic doing service of Suzuki bandit for 8500 or so. I think someone from xbhp had that bike.. do not remember exactly.
And service interval for all sports bike and supersport is 6000 kms.. and not calculated in terms of months..
But ya if you can do 7k in 3 months .. that is a number for you.. and might be a real deal breaker.

May be BV can comment more on that.

O wait.. so the third service actually needs to be done at around 18000 km?? Well i gave 3 months interval because thats what i used to do in my pulsar.. never knew its different in this regard
So its 7K for every 12K kms. Let's hear what BV has to say.

If the bike running is not much and if we do not get the oil changed and get other parts serviced it affects the behavior of the bike, it feels a little sluggish and heavy. That is why we used to get Indian bikes serviced in few months interval.
Is this not valid for Ninja and other sportsbike? We need to get it serviced only after the specified Kms provided they are running good till the next service interval ?
It is not based on the months..
The third service should cost 5249 (service + oil)
Additional spare parts will be charged to you i.e eg brake pads, clutch or throttle cable etc.
The probiking service centre has a list which contains the price for each service.
Correct.. 1st service at 1000kms, then 6000kms, 12k kms, 18k kms.. and henceforth.
I thinks the service price list that you are mentioning is old one and the rates have gone up now.
