        • after reading this thread for two hours i concluded two things;
          1: that for owning and running a ninja u must be in job of atleast 70k per month.
          2: my ZMR's spares are too cheeeeep.

            Unless you have a habit of crashing, you don't need those costly parts. I am riding it for more than 1.5 years and have clocked 18000 km on it. Not paid for even a single part. Only outgo is service at every 6000 km.

            Ninja is nearly 3 times costlier than ZMR so obviously the parts would also be costlier. If you compare part cost of a litre class bike with Ninja, you would find Ninja parts extremely cheap. So a comparison is always done for similar products.

                Dude...the service cost of around 6K needs to be incurred after every 12k Kms (alternate services), most of us here are in normal jobs and although it is costly, the upkeep is not prohibitive... so if this is your main reason for not buying the kwacker you may wanna think again

                              well said, many people forget that ninja is an entry level super bike. i need not list out the dozens of bikes available in india with a performance level and pricing lower than ninja. i am yet to find any part of my ninja is made (including the screws) poor. quality has a price. that is for the ninja too. i don't have a fat salary and my car is a maruthi 800. but i love my ninja and enjoy the way she performs. when i need a spare i know the spare part has the same top notch quality that came with my bike.

                              there is always a cost for quality. you want a ninja one should accept the cost of ownership of the ninja. there is no need to compare. i would be fooling myself if i start comparing my car spares like maruthi 800 a single front shock cost is just Rs 750/- and for entry level BMW it is 1.25 lakhs. same logic goes for the ninja.
