I dont notice any performance issues, excessive vibes, notchy gearshifts by the time I run the bike in for the servicing. Also, when the oil is drained at the SVC it doesnt look too bad and could have gone on for longer.Originally posted by harikeshpk View Posthow do we know the oil is good and lasts the whole service interval ?

ThanksOriginally posted by n_aditya View PostI have been using 5100 15W50 Motul SemiSynth oil since the bike clocked 4k kms. Perfectly suitable to go for this oil.
I change the oil every 5k kms and yet it has no burning smell or discoloration or change in viscocity. I change it a bit earlier just to be safe. The oil filter however is changed every 10k kms.
You will hear mixed responses to your query. Some say it protects the fairing but damages the frame in case of a high speed crash and if the impact is high.
I checked with the probiking service manager before i got my pair of Puig sliders and he recommended them. The puig sliders are mounted on flanges so any impact will transfer to the flange and in case of high impact the flange will take the beating and not the frame or chassis. My suggestion is to go for it. It will protect the fairing in case of a crash/fall (at the most you will have scratches on the fairing which can be painted). Unless the slider hits a rock or median in case of a fall and slide, it can catapult the bike causing worse damage.
will order the frame sliders then .

Got call from pbk that they are conducting the track event at MMST & Ninja owners are free to ride on the track to test the abilities of the kwacker from morning to evening on 12th march. Riders should bring the riding gears. We could also bring our family & friends & we are provided with the lunch & some goodies.B o D a C i O u S

How come the PBK doesn't conduct the event in coimbatore which is nearer to you? Did they asked you to ride down from KL to MMST?

hey guys its nice reading 500 pages on the baby ninja does give u a lot of knowledge about it
wanted to have this bike since months now as was not sure
about how does it fair as compared to its price
but just went to phuket in thailand a week back and
there she was waiting to be rented out also the cbr 250r was besides it
so without any hesitation i took the ninja 250 fr a day @600 bath
am glad to say she was amazing after 6000 rpm its totally a different bike doesnt feel like a 250 at all also tried the cbr 250 there didnt have much time on it but it didnt give me the feel of
what the twin cylinder ninja did.
well after doing research on it and comparing it with the new cbr 250 frm honda with the ninja 250 all over the internet also
i have made my decision and am going in for the ninja 250
have sent my papers for loan approval should get them by next week so am gonna book it
saw the white colour ninja in the kawasaki showroom in phuket looked outstanding unfortunately its not here
also they had the two brothers exhaust system juice box and whole lot of accessories for the bike man
so am deciding where the green one or the black one
kindly provide your opinions on the colour
will keep you guys posted once i book it cant wait to ride it man
pbk showroom in kanjurmarg in mumbai said 15days delivery
and the new one comes with white dials and green tailpiece too

green is the trademark kawasaki color. it make's heads turn, and attention magnet to the core. now you are confused between the colors i suggest go for green.
mine is black , and i would never would have gone for green( this is in spite of strong protest from my family as they wanted the green ninja)Mountain biking on impulse with my wife and our bike goes down in water

Color is a purely personal choice. Go with what your heart tell you. While black is very understated and won't turn heads, green is an attention magnet. Park it in a public place and the green will attract people like bees to honey. Black will go unnoticed most of the timeOriginally posted by malcolmk View Postso am deciding where the green one or the black one. kindly provide your opinions on the colour
Good choice of the bike. You wont regret it. The ninja definitely scores over the CBR due to various reasons.... no doubt the cbr is a good bike too.Last edited by n_aditya; 02-28-2011, 12:57 PM.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

On a morning ride yesterday, we had a green and a black Ninja, a bright yellow Comet and a black CB1000R parked alongside the road. A couple of guys on another bike stopped , asked permission to take pictures and promptly snapped away - covering the green bike with a dozen odd shots, while the three others - including the CB1000R did not draw a second glance.
A telling sign I would say....
As an owner of a blackie, I can tell you that maintaining a glossy blackie is one cast iron bi*ch of a job!

I do have plans to ride to Chennai for purely riding experience... I could have ceased this oppurtunity provided I was not engaged...
So, very true... It's a personal choice and Lime Green is the Eye Candy for all age groups and gender...Originally posted by n_aditya View PostColor is a purely personal choice. Trivandrum xBhp had conducted a 'Road Safety and Traffic Awareness' event yesterday and the main attraction for the crowd apart from the event was my Green Monster! Few girls wanted to even go for rides as my pillion.... but since i was expecting request like this (i have previous such experience), I had put the cowl on which prompted then to say after the request, "Oh! it's a single seat"...

Nice move with the cowl thing (making the bike a single seater) ,, Which makes the bike say loudly to the crowd " Only the boys(rider) should have all the fun"
. Contrary to piggy chops ad..
