Had the same experience & still experiencing as I too plonked in a seat cowl from the day one I got my Kwacker. Many people & even the Showroom guys raised a question, Don't you have GF, why a seat cowl?? Reply was " Tis purely made to experience the thrills to the rider not for pillion"Originally posted by The Celebrity View PostFew girls wanted to even go for rides as my pillion.... but since i was expecting request like this (i have previous such experience), I had put the cowl on which prompted then to say after the request, "Oh! it's a single seat"...

Hey guys
Hey there .....writing after a long long time . I finally managed to cross the 1000 k and got the first paid servicing done !! Yup am the owner since april last year ! probably the slowest to the first servicing i guess
I only take out the ninja on sundays n that too 10/15 km ride n back n still have not done a long ride
The colour of the engine oil was like pitch black , got the oil filter changed , had the front number plate holder or whatever you call it removed ....read somewhere that in order to remove it we had to take off the fairings but this dude did it by just taking out the rear view mirrors in no time .
got the air filter cleaned with diesel n then dried with a high pressure air hose ....the exhaust sound has improved a bit (bassy) n the pick up too ....oil put in was valvoline sae 20/50 ....down shifting was a bit of a effort so minor adjustments to the clutch took care of that , gave it a good wash but did not apply wax/polish
....another thing was the guys at the pro biking kept asking me to go sit upstairs in the showroom or someplace ...apparently my presence near the bike was not appreciated
Go figure ?
Well ,all said n done , it was a nice experience cos the guy who was servicing the ninja was a pleasant n learned bloke (Sudhakar KOLHAPUR PRO BIKING )
Attaching a few pics
"It's impossible." said pride. "It's risky." said experience. "It's
pointless." said reason. "Give it a try." whispered the heart ....

You got to be joking!!
Was so smitten by the devil, that i had 7000kms in the first month!!
and a fuel bill of 17000!!
You dont need to take out the fairing to take out the mirrors. Its pretty easy. Take off the rubber stickers on the mirror mounts and take off the bolts!Originally posted by rajpadia View PostThe colour of the engine oil was like pitch black , got the oil filter changed , had the front number plate holder or whatever you call it removed ....read somewhere that in order to remove it we had to take off the fairings but this dude did it by just taking out the rear view mirrors in no time .
Never had a problem with me stalking around the bike when they were servicing. Normally you are not supposed to enter the bay area but for Ninja owners they are pretty lenientOriginally posted by rajpadia View Postanother thing was the guys at the pro biking kept asking me to go sit upstairs in the showroom or someplace ...apparently my presence near the bike was not appreciated

Bajaj service has been great so far to me as well. I guess most of the guys would vouch for that.

but if its green people stare and check it out
so she is gonna be a mean 250cc bike but definitely green

Great to hear that you have a budget of 3 lacs for Ninja 250R......Originally posted by malcolmk View Posthey guys its nice reading 500 pages on the baby ninja does give u a lot of knowledge about it
wanted to have this bike since months now as was not sure
about how does it fair as compared to its price
but just went to phuket in thailand a week back and
there she was waiting to be rented out also the cbr 250r was besides it
so without any hesitation i took the ninja 250 fr a day @600 bath
am glad to say she was amazing after 6000 rpm its totally a different bike doesnt feel like a 250 at all also tried the cbr 250 there didnt have much time on it but it didnt give me the feel of
what the twin cylinder ninja did.
well after doing research on it and comparing it with the new cbr 250 frm honda with the ninja 250 all over the internet also
i have made my decision and am going in for the ninja 250
have sent my papers for loan approval should get them by next week so am gonna book it
saw the white colour ninja in the kawasaki showroom in phuket looked outstanding unfortunately its not here
also they had the two brothers exhaust system juice box and whole lot of accessories for the bike man
so am deciding where the green one or the black one
kindly provide your opinions on the colour
will keep you guys posted once i book it cant wait to ride it man
pbk showroom in kanjurmarg in mumbai said 15days delivery
and the new one comes with white dials and green tailpiece too
PS: But Hyosung GT650R will be available for 4.8 lacs on road..showroom will be open probably this April.

PSRji, was literally obsessed with the bike and i had become a bike addict by the end of the monthOriginally posted by psr View Post7,000 Kms in 30 days

You must really like your Ninja.
Well it involved a 3500 km round trip from Pune to Trivandrum plus a couple of short weekend dashes from Pune to the konkan coasts of Ganpatiphule and Tarkarli plus 40kms daily ride to office and so many impulsive rides across puneOriginally posted by nitro66 View Post

The first service was due in 3 days
The Probiking guys had quite a shock and it took them 3 days to arrange for an oil filter bcos they i guess were not expecting the bike to turn up so soon!
So he (Rajpadia) must be quite a celebrity in his areaOriginally posted by vkuchhal View Post1000 in an year is not so good but not so bad either, comparing that john abrahim has done 220 on his busa in 1 yr.

The rate at which he is going, a five year plan might have elapsed by the time he takes it for the third service (6000 kms)

Dunno y they were not too happy with me bein there ...wasnt even a nuisance ...was being very polite ....total cost came upto INR 1500 ...
dO THEY WAX IT AFTER THEY WASH IT OR DO YOU HAVE TO INSIST ? also its given in the manual that you need to oil the nuts/bolts (chassis) on completion of 1000 ....sadly no such thing happened
