I've always ridden with leather gloves so can't comment on this. The grips are made of rubber so that's probably why your hands stink after a ride.
Please invest in good quality riding gear and ride with it at all times.
I will keep in mind.Last week I bought gloves(alpineestars), axo knee guard, sparx lid. so now it is not an issue but just wanna know it is only me or not. I had dsg maze jacket before I had Ninja
Now I ride with them all the time.
P.S. Nice pics. Awesome riding company for your ninja. A CBR, CB and a VFR, all honda's with only one ninja.. wow !!!
Yes it is. but they are not my regular fellow rider. they are sundeep Gajjar , sunil gupta(moderator) and other guy. they are returning from some where. Ninja looked so beautiful with these big bike. no one can ignore green Ninja .
For the Avg. 25km/l is good.. when i rip the bike .. perfect shifts .. i get 23-25.. This time my trip to mysore was a mix of speeds from 80-120.. so got somewhere around 31-32km/l.
Earlier when i also use to ride without gloves.. i also use to experiece same problem as you have given.. but with time , the smell and blackish rubber on the hands disappeared.. and as Aditya pointed out .. get yourself a good set of riding gloves.

Thanks Vibhor
31-32km/L sounds good. Try to get more than that.
Got your point buddy.
When it was under break-in , it was giving me 37...
And i think someone has even extracted 40km/l from it too..
Although i would say, these figures are impressive for a 250cc bike , but who actually cares , so i Rip it off..
GTX 20W50 is for OLDER cars and contains additives called friction modifiers. It contains Zinc,0.12% and selected friction modifying compounds. It's temperature and shear specs.,are not for air cooled bike engines, and likely to cause clutch slip. The oil quality degrades faster due to higher temperature of the bike engine .
When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.
hey nitro were these pics taken in delhi and is that guy with the vfr or any of them members of G.O.D.S
dont know they are the member of gods or not but these bikes were provided by the Honda company for touring.Sunny & sunil are the moderator of Xbhp.. If u dont know then ..... sunny is the main guy behind the whole xbhp (like a founder or something)
TVS has come up with ABS. Guys check out the video for their experiment .. Amazing Impact ABS has on handing. Will be great in rains and even in daily rides. Great job. I wish to have it on Ninja as well
If you have filled in car oil in your bike, change it ASAP. Car oils dont work in motorcycles. Always use oil that confirms to the specs mentioned in the manual (JASO MA). Specifically it should mention that it is designed for use in wet clutches. This is because in a bike, the engine oil is designed to lubricate the engine parts and the gear and clutch, while in car's the gearbox oil and engine oil are different and have their own reservoir's.

Here is a link to Motul site...Lots of important info regarding their Oil ... Motul
Thanx for the pointers guys.
The Manual says SAE 20w50 API 'SL'/ above JASO MA, MA1, Ma2.
I wandered for Castrol activ xtra 20w50 every nook & corner in chennai as well as GP Road but all shops here are having only Castrol GTX ...
But I found MOTUL SEMI SYNTH oil available in my place
which costs 450 bucks per litre. Refer to the link I've given below & advice on the same. 5100 4T 15W50
I've planned to switch to Fully synthetic which is 300 V Factory Line 4T 15W50 only after 10000 kilometres on the odo.
So advice on 5100 4T 15W50 semi synth oil is suitable for Ninja or not??

I have been using 5100 15W50 Motul SemiSynth oil since the bike clocked 4k kms. Perfectly suitable to go for this oil.
I change the oil every 5k kms and yet it has no burning smell or discoloration or change in viscocity. I change it a bit earlier just to be safe. The oil filter however is changed every 10k kms.
I am planning to buy PUIG frame sliders from planetdsg for my upcoming NINJA,whats your take on that??
You will hear mixed responses to your query. Some say it protects the fairing but damages the frame in case of a high speed crash and if the impact is high.
I checked with the probiking service manager before i got my pair of Puig sliders and he recommended them. The puig sliders are mounted on flanges so any impact will transfer to the flange and in case of high impact the flange will take the beating and not the frame or chassis. My suggestion is to go for it. It will protect the fairing in case of a crash/fall (at the most you will have scratches on the fairing which can be painted). Unless the slider hits a rock or median in case of a fall and slide, it can catapult the bike causing worse damage.
