And yes am planning to change the oil filter too..

Somehow i feel the FE is very bad in my bike.. i had put 10 litre of normal unleaded from bpcl on the 1st day with 12 on the odo(the pbk guys must have put an extra 2.5 litres when i was taking delivery) and the fuel light started blinking again when my odo reached 195.. that is less than 20.. And this was with riding mostly at 30 to 50 ...
Hopefully the BPCL pertrol i had put back then is the culprit.. Otherwise need to get it checked at the probiking service center.

I have switched over to super unleaded from shell and can feel the difference immedietly.
Motul is the favorite among Ninja owners. I mean better than DTSi oil.

I used to get around 30 KM/L during run-in, but till now used only Shell petrol. I seriously doubt the quantity of the petrol from the BPCL pump.

    • Regarding the Quality of BPCL petrol, Yesterday due to emergency , had to fill up from BPCl pump but got fuel filled only for 100 bucks(as with BPCL fuel i have earlier faced problems like knocking, missing and vibrations earlier) and to my confirmation , these problem appeared again yesterday .

Got a tankful done with the normal ,HPCL and now seems that the bike is happier. .. Not much vibrations , so another tankful would solve the problem.. .

Why don't you fill from Shell Bommanahalli? Shell reduced 5 Rs, when other increased 5 Rs!!

i think that particular bunk is altering the quality of the fuel because most of the times i use normal fuel from bpcl and i havent faced any knocking issues till date

Work looks neat but none of the Ninja designs are impressive and have seen them on US sites before...

also how much unwanted weight reduction is possible?
is it possible to remove the starter motor and go for "dhakka start",just like GP machines?
you can get a good 15% boost by changing to lighter rims( made for ninja 250r) from performance racing. cost 1.5 lakhs. down side is if you dip your ninja in a bad gutter 1.5 lakhs is gone.

Instead of buying N250R + Rims.. why not buy N650R for the same price?
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

good logic there, but still when you are in love with your bike (or your wife/Gf) you don't switch loyalties just like that.

                              • Update : Did 18,000 km servicing today. Cost was quite reasonable. Of course, I had changed engine oil earlier so the cost of engine oil is not included here. Main cost here was change of front brake pads.
