And one more question is even for a brand new bike, Oriental gave me the IDV of around 10k lesser than the ex=showroom price...
Is this as per any rule or I'm the only Lucky one here !
My first year IDV was 262,877 much lower than the ex-showroom price in Blore. Insurance co's calculate depreciation from the first year itself.

3. In-spite of taking an appointment, i was still made to wait for 2 hours, only when i lost my patience and shouted was my bike taken in.
4. They dint washed the bike as the system was out of order
5. Service guys for ninja knew their job.
6. Normal oil change, (Bajaj 10000), oil filter change, air filter cleaning and other regular checkups...
7. Surprising they dint had a paddock stand.
8. Extra 2% if you pay by Credit Card.
9. Asked about teflon coating... checked out the polish.. its the formula 1 carnabaux ... charge - Rs 1000 ( Already have it with me.. so i'm gonna go for DIY)
In all not a great experience after paying so much for a premium bike.
Wondering how will they manage 650R

I informed Prasanna to speak to the higher officials and waive it off. Its cumbersome to carry loads of cash if the repair bill is huge.... applies to major service intervals as well.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

The owner only has to pay the mandatory deductible which is 1% of the IDV or 250 bucks whichever is higher. Of course there is no cashless claim feature if someone wants me to clarify this as well.
P.S. They dont divulge these details as the ninja is considered an accident prone vehicle and its financially no benefit for them to offer this cover.
Oh yeah, i forgot, the top up cover costs 500 bucks over and above the premium amount. I managed to get a discount and paid only 200 bucks for it in addition to the NCB on the Premium.
But been unable to figure out how to order it.
Brilliant info on the insurance bit... this should be really handy... Thanx

Send them an email and ask for the product weight. I'm sure it'll weigh a lot less, especially the carbon fiber ones. Packaging generally adds a whole lot of weight as layers and layers of packing material is used to minimize any damages caused while in transit.
Glad i have been of help. Sorry for posting this late.

Example - fairing to be replaced after a crash. Cost 11k (assumption/guesstimate). Normally only 50% is paid by the insurance co. In the above top up cover they would pay the full amount of 11k and the owner only needs to pay 1% of the IDV or 250 bucks whichever is higher. Here my IDV is 2.49L and 1% is ~2500 bucks. Therefore all i pay irrespective of the claim amount is 2500 bucks.

The Thane RTO takes ten days for registration - just heard from a Honda dealer yesterday. Again, I'm thankful that I didn't listen to the sales fellow and leave the bike on display in the showroom. By now a lot of people would've sat on it, revved the engine etc. This is the second time that I've been given a wrong commitment by the sales person. First was the delivery date - he promised it in ten days, while Bajaj said that there wasn't a single green bike in the entire country!
Gave her the first bath yesterday. Full fairing = big area to buff = aching arms and back. Worth it, in the end.

Well it is justified as they have to pay ~ 2-2.5% of every transaction to payment gateways & data exchanges.
You think credit card companies & payment gateways make profit from nowhere? The Zmaniac - 2 wheeled enthusiast
