  • Thanks for info mate.
Checked ebay.in and ebay.com, ebay.in doesn't have XX models and from ebay.com they don't directly ship to India.

Can guys point me to some sites where I can order these and can directly ship to India?

    • Not sure whether anyone has seen this site, but stumbled upon this site. Lots of 250R stuff here that can be explored..

got some stuff for the bike from my recent trip to thailand... pics for reference.

The brake & clutch levers are shorties & fold up in case of a crash... picked them up for Rs. 1800 each... PRS ones cost Rs. 5200 each

Got the frame sliders for the same price that we get Puig here... around Rs. 5300.. but found these to be much better looking as well as of excellent quality... they are of course no cut... attach themselves to the 3 points on the bike...

Picked up the tails from PBK service centre at bbay (the most horrible service centre of course) for Rs. 4200 for the pair
they look great. I am also going to Thailand tomorrow. Can u suggest me any market or any shop where I can get all these stuff.
          Thanks

Nope, no clue on that.. lemme also know in case you figure it out... a simpler solution is always welcome

You would get all the stuff in Pattaya - at the Kawasaki showroom itself.. check it on google maps for reference. Do take a bike on rent in Pattaya... i had taken a Honda 600RR (Repsol version) for 600 Baht (900 INR) a day

Didnt get anything in Bangkok Kawasaki showroom. They in fact dont stock any accessories, so dont waste time going there.... other accessory guys i had heard of in Bangkok were too far away to travel to on this trip
If you are not afraid, you have probably chosen too easy a mountain to climb!!

Dont need an international one... Indian license is sufficient there.. mine was checked twice, no issues...just ensure that all bike papers are in order while taking the bike...also, dont give your passport as security, give either money (3000 baht approx) or your PAN card, so that in case of an issue atleast you cant be held at their mercy..

1000 cc bikes also available, have a good look around & bargain hard, but 600 (that too an inline 4) should be good enough... i hardly managed to cross 110/3rd gear & i was there for 3-4 days. Harleys are even cheaper at 500 baht a day

                      @Niranjan:

Love it boy, love it. It's looking fabulous, and knowing that you'll be riding this amazing machine, and taking care of her, makes it all the more exciting. Am really happy for you buddy.

Are you keeping that red jacket, or going for something in matching colours? I've learnt that, if most of your riding gear hovers around in shades of black and/or grey and/or white, they easily blend in with whatever bike you might acquire in the future. My riding jacket is black, but my helmet is blue.....so there is going to a bit of "mismatch" at the head, when I go lime green too But with a ride like that, it really doesn't matter what colour exists where. It's only and fully the experience which'll matter.

Enjoy the ride, lean like crazy, and be safe. Awaiting your first impressions in detail; intricate details describing the upgrade from the 220 to this modern 250, and what changes instantly make their presence felt every time you ride this; and of course more photos along the way.

Thanks a million for the photos. Hope to ride together someday soon.

                      .....Simba

@Parik: Am glad you liked the photos. The Red Jacket is somewhat of a mismatch and I have been labeled as a "parrot" by some Pune xMen .

Watch this thread in the coming few weeks...something better on the cards

BTW...congrats for your "on the way" Lime Green...hope to ride with you sometime soon!

Sorry for the delayed reply. I did quite a bit of research and decided to continue with Oriental for the second year as well.

I opted for nil depreciation top up cover which means in the event of a claim the insurance company pays the full amount of the claim (no depreciation is calculated for any part, plastic or metal, meaning total cost of the part is paid). The owner only has to pay the mandatory deductible which is 1% of the IDV or 250 bucks whichever is higher. Of course there is no cashless claim feature if someone wants me to clarify this as well.

Example - fairing to be replaced after a crash. Cost 11k (assumption/guesstimate). Normally only 50% is paid by the insurance co. In the above top up cover they would pay the full amount of 11k and the owner only needs to pay 1% of the IDV or 250 bucks whichever is higher. Here my IDV is 2.49L and 1% is ~2500 bucks. Therefore all i pay irrespective of the claim amount is 2500 bucks.

P.S. They dont divulge these details as the ninja is considered an accident prone vehicle and its financially no benefit for them to offer this cover.

Oh yeah, i forgot, the top up cover costs 500 bucks over and above the premium amount. I managed to get a discount and paid only 200 bucks for it in addition to the NCB on the Premium.
unlucky me heard about the top up an hour after renewing my insurance through abhinav......now when i asked the oriental guys regarding the top up they are saying that its only for cars..and when i said them a friend of mine got topup for a ninja ,they are trying to cook up stories...sickening on the part of oriental..and needless to mention that hyderabad pbk is completely disgusting, they made me to wait for 5hrs in the pbk svc just to say me that mechanic is not coming...i guess this is not same with all the pbk svc's..will register a complain with kawasaki india/bajaj india once i get my baby back from svc..

So this is how the insurance guys and service center people behave during an emergency

I just registered my policy online in oriental website and I'm checking if I have any option to add the top-up package online...

                            Regarding KRP:
Guys did any one of you had previous experience of dealing with KRP ?
I sent them a mail inquiring about the KRP frame sliders for Ninja 250R and they don't even care to reply to my mail even after couple of reminders through mail and even call ...
I am afraid that if this is the way they deal with prospect customers, what would be the case after we actually pay up the money and wait for the product to be delivered

@Niranjan: Congrats for acquiring the Green Goblin
I ride my ninja with the same DSG jacket you are wearing

i think this problem is only with hyderabad, even today i have to call arif(ninja mech) n number of times just to give me an estimate for which he didnt even open the bike(yes he wont open the bike to give estimate) and every time i call him he says that he will give estimate within 10 minutes and when i asked him why did he made me wait for hours,he was saying that he was tired because of some journey and his legs were aching...comeon i was limping with my swollen knee yesterday around pbk svc yesterday so that i can finish formalities and give some rest to ma knee....now i cant even dare to think about n650r which i was planning to get
