It looks like someone dropped it on to the next bike standing beside it but no one saw anything ...

Can the tank dent be covered under insurance?

hard luck buddy... i know how it feels when someone else had done it...

Luckily for me, got the indicator today.. and i also got it fixed... though it was the right side one fitted into the left side... as Prasanna told that their are no issues...

but when he told me the price... my jaw dropped wide open... 1345+150 as labor charges... =1510 total including taxes... (for a silly blunder of mine)..

I asked Prasanna for if a small touchup is possible or not ... but he said no...

Can someone help me with that(touchup)... jus a little..

You could have paid me Rs.50 and I would have done the 'labor' for you

How big is your scratch which needs touching up? Post some pictures and I'll see if I can help in some DIY way.

        • Brake pads

Last week I went for 2nd service (6000kms). The engineer informed me that the rear break pads has gone bad and will have to replace it. Cost - 1200/-

My question is, they only lasts for 6000 kms??

What color is your bike? Green or black?

I am out of town till Dec 18th, so lets catch up between Dec 19-20th.

Depends on your riding style. My rear brake pads have lasted for over 16,000 kms and will last at least 4,000 kms more. But then, I rarely use the rear brakes. I had my front disc pads changed at 12,000 kms. When I saw them, I realized that I should have got them changed before 10,000 kms.

You can actually see brake pads. If you feel, they are now wafer thin, you need to change them. That guy also advised me to change at 6000 km but I changed them at 8000 and they were nearly non existent.

Like Bluevolt said, it depends on your riding style.

Also see the condition of front brake pads at the same time.

I have a green ninja... seems u have forgot me.. I met you and aditya at nandi hills... the same person who left his bike unattended and went for site seeing...

but i used a black marker as their are some scratches on that part...

And for the brake pads.. Prasanna was telling me for the bikes he has sold uptill not .. the average life is around 3k kms... (in general for all type of riders)

Surprised to see that it went 10k for you.

I distinctly remember meeting you, but the fact you mentioned the black markers confused me a bit.

And I go very easy on the brakes - the guys at PBK were surprised too. Also remember that I did most of the 10000 kms on the GQ (8450 kms) and not in stop and go traffic.

                              • Just one query...

How many days does it take to take insurance cover, if i would have done the same for the indicator replacement...?

I suppose i would have got 50% of it..
