But the suction cup works mega wonders too. Especially on the Helmet and a clean surface.
That was my camera that the group of riders who rode from pune to south lost lol so I know who are talking about. But it wasnt mounted on the suction cup as I had furnished them with the sticky mounts and not the suction cup.
Trust the cup like you trust your tyres
How good is the suction cup on the tank? I am not so sure about putting it on my helmet, the whole assembly is just too bulky! The 3M VHB whatever at least makes me look less of an alien

      In the manufacturer's words;
"Patented New AirWing: Arai's exclusive, adjustable new AirWing is designed to greatly reduce drag, turbulence and buffeting, providing you with unprecedented aerodynamic performance options via five hand-adjustable attack angles.

      1. At race speeds, or full-tuck position, run the AirWing in a lower position
      2. Riding Sport or Standard-style bikes, run the AirWing in one of the middle positions.
      3. In an upright riding position it works best at one of the upper angles."

          • A WOW Ninja PBK service experience -

@BLUEVOLT - helmet is awesome, nice buy .. needless to say you are always one step ahead when it comes to safety..

OK here is an incident i wish to share about my service experience - and a face saving one...

ok i had gone to Sapna book house on 80ft road, indranagar to buy some b'day gift for my cousin Sister b'day yesterday... i parked the bike but the security there forced me to park it in the basement... tried to convince him as i was not taking the car slot, but he has got strict order, i don't know last time i had parked it outside with no issues..

while getting my bike back off the steep parking ramp, i tried to take a sharp left turn to avoid a bump just behind, the bike got locked and as i was already on a slant it added to the dip on the left and the i couldn't hold the bike and it fell...

i must attribute it to my lean built, its doesn't go with the bike.. ninja needs a good physique to hold it

anyways ... after the fall, the bike didn't start...
i got it up with the help of a guard present there... but now i'm struck i need to go to BSK IIIrd Stage, 20 kms from where i was, with a bike which can't be just left behind and to add to the misery it's peak office hours 5:30 p.m.

there was some leak, looked like oil was worried what went wrong, the FI light was bipping when i tried to start in gear...
the gear also was not shifting so wasn't sure which gear the bike was struck...

finally called up Prasana at PBK, told him the story and he said he would enquire and let me know if someone can come, finally he called me up and said he is coming ... [what a relief]

meanwhile i checked the bike for any oil spill or leaks, finally found out the gear lever is bended inside and it's struck hence the gear is not changing.. it happened because of the slope, on a normal fall it would not have come in contact first, the foot rest and side mirror would have taken the damage..

after a while Prasana came with another mechanic i think his name is Majid.. not sure as i only know Manju there...

he checked it and got the lever pulled back with the help of a bolt opener ..
the bike starts what a relief, the spill was of the coolant...

in 30 mins i was back to do my shopping without even moving my Bike an inch to get it fixed... it was just amazing ...
Thanks a lot Prasana !!! for saving my day i could go the b'day party and my Sis was really happy with the gifts ...

So for all those who are planning to buy the bike, and check this blog to make a decision, GO BUY A NINJA - it worth the FUN and if FUN leaves you for a moment you can bet on the Service to get it back rolling again...

PS: If you are a strong guy then FUN won't leave you ever at least for such silly slips

Prasanna is very professional and customer oriented - the Bangalore Ninja after sales service is so great because of him.

While I am happy about the excellent service by PBK, I do not agree with above statement. I am also lean built but I have never found it necessary to have better physique to hold a ninja.

Any bike operating on low speeds, once it reaches a lean angle of more 45 degrees is extremely difficult to hold. Try it with a splendor and you will realise.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

I second you on that. The tough muscular physique is meant more for the cruiser bikes. If you see bikers riding sports bikes, most of them are lean. In fact, it is believed that extra weight should be shed for riding a sports bike efficiently.

Yup, this is the Hopkins Replica. Lucky I could get my hands on it at a good price, I don't like the new Crutchlow edition too much.

                        • @trustvishwas & ashutosh - i agree with you guys ... the bike is so well balanced that you don't need more strength to either maneuver it or hold it... living proof are the miles you would have clocked on the machine...

what i meant was when it's going down from a standstill, if you really want to pull it off you would require some more strength than what you would require to pull a splendor ...

i'm not putting it to refute your points, i totally agree i myself bought it because i took a fellow xBHPian Gourav Katyal's bike for a test ride before making my decision - he had asked me to take it for a long ride but just after 5 mins of city traffic driving i was in love; came back and immediately went to PBK to book it... (i was apprehensive i won't be able to handle especially keeping my built in mind, but it was easier than my RTR as it just goes where you want it to go)

i was making more of self-fun in writing those lines then passing judgement ...
so guys planning to buy the bike just ignore my reflections .. it was purely pun intended

Thanks buddy... these are the same size 130/70-17 but look bigger than the IRC stock.

PBK wants a pic of the foggy light, but it hasn't rained since a few days and am out of Bangy now. But nevertheless PBK said they will fix it.
                                Will post some soon.
