Guys keep me 'clued'-in' whenever you are going for this job. Saravjit had made a similar offer to me, but I did'nt take it up for 2 reasons 1) Thought it will be nice to keep the bike in original form till a short period..at least and 2) I was worried, as you are, about the quality of paint job.

Anyway whenever you guys are going, I would like to tag along and check out the options.

Its hunting time for the new seat cover.... don't know from where to start...

Purchased K&N recharge kit today for the air filter from Autoshop, Bangalore. It's 950/-
Also Turtle/ArmorAll wax/polish, 3M body films etc available there, if any want to buy.

3M body films are the same as PPF or something different.

Yes it clogs up quicker, especially in our dusty conditions.

Yes, K&N Recharger Filter Care Service Kit is recommended to clean their filters.

Apart from lubricating the chain, cleaning/lubricating air filter is another concern. Will they clean the Ninja air filter in every service at bajaj??? It should be mandatory..

Clogging of the K&N filter quiker than the stock... doesn't that mean that it is cleaning the air much better way and dust particles of sub-zero size are also getting removed, which the normal filter is not able to do it?

Please speard some light on this.

                • If anything, the pores in the K&N filter are BIGGER than stock foam. That is why they are called free flow filters.

Why go for K&N and waste money - there is no gain whatsoever in sound or performance. I am running my bike on stock air filter - but I poured in Japanese superzoil mixed with synthetic and my Ninja is now a different animal. Much smoother operation+improved acceleration.

I suggested this place because I had got my father's Verna touched up many times from there&the paint finish AND shade matching was perfect. Oh, btw-forgot to mention-it is a metallic brown color!
No need to check Koti for seat covers-you can get them made anywhere you like.
There is nothing I get out of this btw. It was just a help that I offered.

                      • Engine oil

Guys---been reading a lot about how fully synth should not be used till the bike has done about 10k or so. Now...immediately after my first service, Arif at PBK Hyderabad suggested I go with fully synth (my bike had done 1200 then) and I went along with him .

I have already done about 2000kms more on the bike, after that...do you'll suggest I drain the oil and go back to semi-synth or has the damage already been done?

+1 to the Bluevolt. Did a day trip to Jaipur on Republic day and was riding 140+ most of the time. Dont know weather its the Motul or the Super Zoil, the bikes a whole lot smoother. Simply brilliant. money well spent

My ride would be due for 1st service after 100 kms. What's the oil should be used? Pbk guys suggested me to go for their Bajaj oil stuff. I need exact specs of the oil so that I can buy it from after market & hand it over to em.
