Thats a first... Normally people ask why you didnt buy a car for that much money.
Like aargee said, keep it simple. Say its a pulsar or whatever the other guy is riding and mention that the body was styled at a local shop.

The languages and their intricacies
It was a convo in Hindi and went in
Pulsar: Kitne ka hai bike
Me: Thoda mehanga hai
Pulsar: Kitna mehenga
Me: Theen ka hai
Pulsar: Baap re baap, ismein tho 4 pulsar kareed saktha tha
Me: Aap bhi tho do splendor kareed sakthe the
(ek dum (haath phailake with a slanted head) gujju ishtyee mein bola
with a small smile)
He got the wind and he laughed and went off. It was done in good jest
And once an old man did ask me why i didnt buy a car for that money. So i politely told him "Chachaji, har ka apna pasand hota haina, isliye). He nodded his head in unison

thank you sir for writing.yes ,all of our vehicles use body or chassis as ground ,in short term the battery negative terminal is connected to the body,so the whole body acts as a ground or negative wire.my query dada is till date at least in indian cars/bike i haven't seen any vehicle that is having positive terminal grounded.so if the both vehicle is ground is there chassis, what problem is there as we are already touching the negative to negative and positive to positive.please elaborate.because its the same polarity only naa as ground wires aka negative wire aka negative terminal aka chassis.Originally posted by Old Fox View PostThe procedure is fine but needs a very important precaution.
Make sure that the metal parts or the body of both the vehicles do not touch each other. All vehicles use the metal body as one part of the circuit. Touch the two bodies while they are electrically connected and you're probably not going anywhere with severely damaged electricals.
see argee, the combination can be modified as per need.if the donor battery is big(car/truck)and recipient is small then you dont even need to start the donor vehicle.if the donor batt is same size or less then recipient then the recipient battery is going to suck up the juice from the donor batt as its low on power ,it can cause low both batteries,so to prevent that sudden drop of power ,a sable idling rpm is recommended from a donor vehicle ,and keep the recipient vehicle ign off while connecting, that s safe enough.Originally posted by aargee View PostI've 2 questions on the jump start, but my knowledge is more from jump starting a car & not a motorcycle...
Step A.
Step B.
Step C.
Questions...
1. Shouldn't the steps be reordered as B, C & A? I mean to say, the Bike/Car/3 Wheeler should be started only after the connections are made isn't it?
2. Which one should be connected first, the positive-positive or Negative-Negative?
eg-i am starting a cbr with jumping from a car i dont even need to start the car ,but if i use a p220 as a donor then starting the bike and holding the revs is a good idea.i hope i made my point clear.
oho, rahul bhai, that is equal to Phillips blue vision series ,actually p 220 carb are coming with these bulbs only.they feel more bright physiologically but actually that blue coating is decreasing the total output from the bulb,if you use a good bulb with no coating ,you will get actual more lumen output on the road.i suggest try night breaker or xtreampower as if you are happy with these bulbs,i guarantee you those will provide a bit more light then these.Originally posted by bluevolt View PostDr. Saheb, it ain't the nightbreaker, it is this:
Blue bulb with silver caps
also in the market there is a 80 watt bulb avl but those can burn your reflectors, found in tata indica new series and some palios i suppose.2 of my friends are using these bulbs on there p 220 and the diff is noticeable.but as you know i dont recommend to use higher wattage bulb in a baby nija as the reflectors can fade quickly.
ps.-where are the ride pics?lovely ,lovely, you are kicking my inner soul to get ninja as my next bike.thanks for inspiring.sigpic

I'd say this is even betterOriginally posted by n_aditya View PostSay its a pulsar or whatever the other guy is riding and mention that the body was styled at a local shop.
, but then, they'll start asking the most important (for them) question, that I HATE TO CORE!!! How much did it cost?
People find some sort of excuses to keep asking too many questions that are totally not related

Not intending to be rude, I have noticed that the stock bulb on the Ninja is powerful enough even on low beam (High beam is luxury). Do you really need HIDs on the bike (maybe you do lots of night riding or something)?Originally posted by Krishna RagunathanHi all,
Just want to know if anyone has installed HID Projector lamps on their Ninja's and a small review on it!!!!!!!!!!!! Planning to install them on my baby Ninjette!!!!!!!!

what i am trying to say is these 80 watt bulbs are good interms of total brightness and lumen output.as the ninja alternator has more then enough power to pull these ,so battery drain will not be an issue.Originally posted by killer_instinct View PostI have been using the 12v 80 w bulb ... If what you are saying is true.. I will have to get those replaced ASAP.
see a p 220 s reflectors are designed for 55 watt bulbs but we are using 80 watt osram h7 in them, and let me tell you, even after using for more then 3 months or so in 2 diff p 220 s ,still no issues.
every reflector is having some safety margin,a 55 watt rated reflector is capable to use at least 10~20 percent more heat,as you may know people use 55/60 watt bulbs in somany desi bikes whichs reflectors are actually designed for 35 watts,no probs.me personally used 55/60 on p 180 for more then 2 years and also using hid,no probs.
also a car reflector is designed for 55/60 bulbs, and as you may know many car owners are already boosting that to 90/100 or even 130/100
with out much hiccups.i admit the cars built quality is far far superior then our bikes but still a 55 to 80 is not that big jump, specially if you think that the oem reflector is designed for 55 watt heat, not 35 watt, our funda was that and we were not wrong in case of p 220 ,80 watt upgread and numerous 35 to 55/60 watt upgrades.
now as ninja is one of the most premium product and each and every part oozes quality ,i have faith that it s reflectors are also no different.its just that no one tried these in long term basis and the sheerer cost of ninja parts (oem reflector set up is close to 9k i suppose) are what pulls me back.
i suggest if you can take the risk ,carry on and see.if you find any blackish area on the upper half of the reflector after using the headlight, better to revert to 55 watt bulbs then.
also if you are running higher rated bulbs upgread your fuse.the stock load was about 8.8 amps and now its 11.3 amps,so you should upgread the fuse by 2.5 amps,or there can be blow of fuse due to increased load.
the moment you later the oem,you loose your warranty.and as tibby said the ninja is having good lights,i doubt the hid projector will add up more in terms of total visibily, specially in low beam.yes i am not talking about the bling factor.Originally posted by Krishna RagunathanHi all,

Ninja 250R Bulbs
Hi all,
It seems that the Philips X-Treme power is also a very good option, Philips says you'll get upto 80% more light than the normal halogen at the same wattage and so do the reviews. If not those, you can also opt for the Philips motovision bulbs which are specifically tailor made for motorbikes only. They give a reddish-orange tint on the reflector so and upto 40% more light than your standard OEM Halogens with the same wattage.Biking knows no language, but passion.....

The headlights on the ninja are quite adequate for normal night usage. However some people have installed a single projector on the high beam with HID to make it look like a one eyed mean monster or something.
I dint find the headlights inadequate, but my highway coverage was limited to lit highways, The little unlit highways that i did, i found it sufficient, and rivaling all other bikes out there.

Its 80% more throw & not the brightness. I've a Xtreme plonked & have compared it against the regular H4; on the aspect of brightness, I haven't seen any difference, however, from the throw perspective a huge difference. Xtreme is really throwing the high beam at extreme distanceOriginally posted by Krishna Ragunathan View PostPhilips says you'll get upto 80% more light

guess, it must be the extreme distance coverage which everyone is looking for when looking for a bulb upgrade!

Yes. At the sametime, the fixed fairing makes it tough to tackle the corners at night.Originally posted by The Celebrity View PostI back that... I frequent lengthy highways frequently and I have felt the coverage to be sufficient...

the stock lights are adequate for the ninja on pitch dark highway's to do about 70 - 80 kms speed with both lights on. at this speed you have a good chance of skipping/stopping if you encounter a speed breaker or pothole etc enroute. long rides on dark highways i prefer to do about 70 - 80 as i feel quite comfy.
by the way i will not experiment with bike electrical's (that includes fancy bulbs) as i have learned the hard way that things may fail at the most in appropriate time.Mountain biking on impulse with my wife and our bike goes down in water
