guys, a small update.

The bike has been apparently fixed and delivered to my brother who is not in Chennai right now. The following was done.

-The seat fabric was replaced as there was a small tear when the bike was delivered.

-The Speedo console was replaced as the tacho had failed.

-The missing throttle response has been claimed to be fixed. will have to wait for few weeks time before that can be confirmed. I personally am not convinced it has been fixed. My bro thinks otherwise. will have to ride it when the bike comes to Chennai.

We have not signed their job sheet yet. unless we are 100% convinced we wont do so.

Please advice me

I got a peculiar problem with my bike..... when the bike is on and in neutral gear without throttle, it vibrates too much. but at the same time if i am using my front disk, the vibration is disappearing. and never the less as soon as i am loosening my front disk it again starting to vibrate...

Is it normal???? Or anything can be done....

one more question buddy...
was it a direct fit or you did some changes...
and is it the retractable one (spring loaded) same as the RTR...

i'm asking cuz i'll be fixing it at home......

My RTR completed 30k kms today......1year 5 months and 17 days..........had a woderfull exp till now and no problems at all......touchwood

Sai, which is this sheet you are talking about? and does that make any diff for them?? i have given my bike for fi unit replacement (2nd time) and would have to do something like this to get some extra attention to my case.

so some of you may know that one of my tank scoops had a fade yellow color.regarding that i went to mulund to the showroom to get it replaced.as i went there the manager said "yes sir i was expecting u." as i was calling him everyday so he was ready to remove a scoop from a new bike and install it to mine.that felt good.but when he showed me the bike,it had the same problem....one of the tank scoop was faded as well.so he said sir ye company se he aisa aata hai.its a two toned color he said.i said i dont know that all i want is a scoop that matches my other scoop.so i asked him get it from anywhere.little cillam chilli from my side did the thing.
so he brought the scoop which matched my other scoop.and now i am happy!
and then i drove off. !

just asking if any one of you have had cornering problems with ur apache rtr on highways at 90-95 speed on stock tyres like u feel there's not enough traction and ur instinct tell u to slow down or is it just me???

Hello friends. I am about to buy a new bike. The shortlisted bikes were FZ 16, apache rtr & apache rtr-fi.
As of now am riding a RX-135 tiger since last 4 years & it has been really powerful with instant throttle response. Also i am still a fan of it for the way it climbs up the rpm & delivers the power thru the rpm.
After several test rides, I have focussed onto apache rtr/rtr-fi for the power n superb handling.
To choose between rtr n rtr-fi, i have some doubts to be cleared. Please help me out.

1) When i test rode rtr-fi (did test ride at three showrooms), at two showrooms, the bikes felt some missing (as if fuel is abt to finish), when i was accelerating in 2nd or 3rd gear. Is this a design fault with the bike?? can this be cleared??? after riding my rx for last 4 years without any issue, i just cant accept this missing in a new bike

2) Also a doubt regarding the battery. Whether the bike can be started in the absence of a battery? The showroom person says it cant be started.


Actually am really hell bent on RTR-fi, but due to the above problems, am not yet able to decide.
Kindly help me out guys....
