Finally after 2 days[check here for problem description: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/158473-post971.html ], the RAMKAY guys called me up today saying that the fuel pump is gone and the replacement will take 2 weeks.
I was like WTH???!!!!
There was a lady on the other end. Started shouting back. I said that the part was replaced just last saturday and if u still say that the pump is gone, how can that be? There is some problem with the tank itself. She then tried to give me some stupid reasons. Seeing that I was unrelenting finally asked me to come over between 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM and talk with the manager itself. Have some work at office today, so will try going morrow and check. Lets see what they are upto now. If not am going to blast it with higher authorities or take it up with some magazines!
@Sai: Can u help me out on this?Last edited by Aparajith; 01-29-2009, 05:47 PM.Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.

Boss, if u really blast on them, just take a digi cam with you, and try to record the whole thing and some snaps of the partculer item, and tell them that u goin to publish in the BIKE mag, second shout a mail to the zonal office, it must be in your manual, along with the pics.
Hope for the best.sigpic

Ok, just went to the service centre and came back. As usual the mechanics said two weeks. Met the service manager and gave him a blast. I insisted that the tank and the full assembly be changed aloong. First they did not agree, but after I showed him my true colors and few warnings about friends at BIKE INDIA, xBhp and Motor Vigadan(a tamil auto mag) they immediately called up all places possible and arranged a new tank+fuel pump complete assembly. The Chief mech. was callous enough to say "Take the bike sir, nothing will happen". I said "I will take it home, take pics of the leaking pump, light the petrol and burn it myself and say that its because of ur carelessness that its burnt and put a case in court. What will u do?". I guess the poor guy could not believe his ears and his eyes went wide. So they have promised tuesday as delivery date. If it exceeds even one single day, then thats it!!
@Kauria: Thanks a lot mate. Will download from home tonight. All of us are very indebted to u!Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.

good job...
recently i had gone to service center (shrihari motors) with my 3 week old Fi as the front disk was not braking smoothly.... the mechanic rode it and said there was no prob... but i insisted... i was talking to him in hindi, so he thought i dint know tamil and said to another mechanic that there is no prob with his bike tell him something and get rid of him!! he was shocked when i replied in tamil tat he was not going to get rid of me... n then he called the supervisor (i think) and cleaned the disk.. its better now... but still theres something not right..

Hey Trigger, its probably a new disk+pads and that's the issue man. Use it and let it rub for a month or so and then check. If braking performance is still not good, try bleeding the oil and refilling again. Even my RTR used to rub with the disc and made noises for the first 100 -150 kms. Also the brakes felt very wooden. Now its improved a lot and feels better.
@the SC issue: The ASC's and their mechs. Just say that u will complain at consumer court or auto mags and watch them fall at ur feet!!!
P.S: It could also be due to the change of tires, but still even my R15 had this problem for the first few 100 kms!

its not the rubbing of the pads... when i brake, the break pressure is not constant... theres the amount of break i want for a sec, then theres more than that, so on... dont know if am making myself clear...
what tyre change? i dint change the tyres.Acta non verba
