Today go to the SC and show my mechanic the sound problem, I just start the engine to show him the sound, immediately he reply that he got the point and need replacement of some bracket near starter motor, though the parts was not available with them, he promise to fix it on coming Saturday. That part came in warranty although

Well I have been driving very smoothly, so thank God!Originally posted by MavericK46 View Post19F/22R is mighty low man. Hope you haven't been speed-bump/pothole bashing with the RTR
If you've been riding slowly over the craters, your bike oughta be fine. Alloy wheels are way stronger than their spoked counterparts. But they aren't made of Titanium !
So, keep the tyres inflated to the recommended pressures at all time to avoid damaging the tyres and the wheels mate
BTW.. Getting the tyre pressure checked whenever you fillup is a good way to maintain a routine.
Cheers !
From now on, I'll make it a habit to get the tyre pressure checked every week (I get the fuel filled like once in 3 weeks)

"Taal" is a Bengali word and used for rim/wheel undulations. Dont know where he will took the wheel for these error correction. I think there is a small alignment problem in all alloy wheels, they ar not 100% perfect. Have to visit some showroom for check this thing in a new RTR.Originally posted by Raccoon View Post^^^Don't know what he ment by "taal"... but if your alloy wheel is out of alignment, then as far as I know, it can't be rectified. You can only replace it.
Lathe? I don't see how a lathe can do anything for any wheel.

i drove my bike for 15kms with 19 pressure in my rear tyre........Originally posted by Nithanth View PostGuys, I just got my RTR FI's tyres pressure checked, and to my surprise the rear tyre had pressure of 22 PSI and front tyre had 19 PSI (recommended is 28-32 for rear tire and 25 for front tire)
. I got it set to 30 PSI and 25 PSI. This was the first time I got it checked... been two weeks since I purchased my FI and have ridden for about 350km! Is it ok or would it have caused any damage by now???

so is the starter motors bush are scrapping or it's something else he told you also....Originally posted by kauria View PostToday go to the SC and show my mechanic the sound problem, I just start the engine to show him the sound, immediately he reply that he got the point and need replacement of some bracket near starter motor, though the parts was not available with them, he promise to fix it on coming Saturday. My rpm meter conked up yday.. the needle goes below the 0 rpm marking when switched off.. idle shows around 800rpm .. and when bike is turned on.. it reaches a max of 11.5k rpm .. so its offset by some 500 rpm..
showed it to the svc.. said the whole speedometer-rpm-meter segment will have to be replaced.. told it will be done on saturday.. under warranty..
hope tvs had the brains of not putting the data logger in that unit itself.. if its replaced then all my current data is gone.. like the odo/tripmeter readings..
hope this doesnt happen..
anyway am get disappointed on how the bike has degraded off late..
... sad build quality
Lets put a smile on your face

I'm sorry to tell you that all your data will be lost, odo readings et all.
Hey but on the bright side, you will get better resale value !
Faulty speedo consoles seem to be common with the RTR...

@technocrat: its almost 3 months old.. done some 3.4k kms
im referring to the issues with the bike..
reduced engine power during the noon..
choking of the bike at lower rpms
parts giving way
switching off sometimes (hasnt happened after some adjustment to the clutch by the svc)
i know that others have suffered a lot more than me ..
@mzone : how foolish can tvs be in designing it that way ? its common sense to separate them :|Lets put a smile on your face

I don't know if it can be separated, but most if not all the bikes with digital consoles have it stored within the console itself. Even the pulsars... Once replaced its all gone!

My comments inline in bold
The drop in performance in hot weather is quite common happens with bigger engines & can happen with any engine. But yes it should go down to similar levels for all similar enginesm referring to the issues with the bike..
reduced engine power during the noon..
Happens with almost all the bikes
choking of the bike at lower rpms
what do you mean by Choking?
parts giving way
Which other apart from tacho?
switching off sometimes (hasnt happened after some adjustment to the clutch by the svc)
Happen with me too but its often because of wrong gearRacing Throttle Response
