That thing is not capable of handling the temprature of header. but it handles temp of end can. The shop, from where i bought it, had heat paint(spray) also, which handles temps upto 400 degrees.

100 bucks for 100ml and 295 for 300ml is the same thing. i would rather get the smaller one then. given how rarely we use em they might run out of gas and become unusable. thats why i only buy small wd-40s even though they're more expensive.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostAnd he quoted 295 for some 300 ML can which he told will last upto 30 full chain "coats".

there's always some 40-50ml wastage of WD-40 when i buy it's big can.
And why you want to swap that???Originally posted by TusharMoily View PostCan the chain guard of rtr180 be fitted on a rtr160??

Yep. Even now they have commonized the chain guard for all RTRs. Recently my bike's chain guard was broken, and then I came to know about this. All the difference was the step given to make space for tyre, the stepped wall is gone and is common to all RTRs.Originally posted by TusharMoily View PostCan the chain guard of rtr180 be fitted on a rtr160??

No! RTR180 cover has got cutout where tyre comes near to it.Originally posted by rennycornelius View Post

Decarbonization
Is it ultimately necessary to get the piston and head decarbonized in 7th service or so? how to check whether is it required or not without opening the engine?
i havent done it till date. Any expert comment please. There's lot to it other than saddle....

Well if you are not experiencing any drop in pickup/mileage. No need to do so.There always be carbon deposit on the engine head and you cant do anything about it rather than decarbonizing. But the problem is the workmanship while doing this process. I have learnt it the hard way.Originally posted by nox2505 View PostIs it ultimately necessary to get the piston and head decarbonized in 7th service or so? how to check whether is it required or not without opening the engine?

I gave my bike(Victor) for decarbonizing process at 20k kms following what was recommended in the bike's service manual. My bike under sane riding conditions used to return 75-80km/ltr on highways and 65-67km/ltr under normal riding conditions in city.Post-servicing the bike experienced huge drop in mileage. In fact after that process the bike has never seen 60km/ltr since then.Valves were not seated properly and courtesy a leaking exhaust valve the bike used to pop out a loud noise as if air is being escaped forcefully when decelerating.
One of my friend who has a 4 year old A150 has already covered over 60k kms and still hasnt done any decarbonizing process and still his bike runs quite well and also returns 60km/ltr under sane riding conditions and yeah it's awesome according to 150cc standards.
Do it if the mechanic is awesome in his work and make sure you are present while he does it.This is the only process where major screwups takes place in a bike. And one should be careful about it.
PS:Still the process is required for engine's longer life.

Decarb is not necessary even at 50000kms if the engine is maintained properly (read mainly timely oil changes).
When i Sold my KB100 it had 56000kms on the clock and once the engine was opened for the cleaning by my friend at 43000 kms and it was spanking clean from the inside i.e no carbon deposit of whatsoever.
