    • Renny if you clean tooo much one day paint may come off just kidding i dont get time to clean my bike only will clean it in weekends by that time it wouldhave collected lots of dust

        Actually this time i washed it after 3 weeks i think, you should have seen it before the wash, i forgot to take the pic !

          Renny your bike looks pretty,and clean...just a word of caution..don't use common detergent to clean , and don't do water wash often.It leads to rusting....I had found that a shampoo we use esp., Pantene, give very good cleaning and also SHINE without polish !Just empty a sachet into half a bucket of water,and use sponge to apply it all over the bike.Wait for 15 minutes and then clean it with clean water.Allow the bike to dry and with a few washes your bike will get a natural shine

            I guess no one here uses Detergent for washing their bike(s).
            I use clinic plus,never tried Pantene though.
            Will give it a try.
            Moreover I wash off after after applying shampoo with the help.
            I guess if it dries then we will have to use sponge again as water wash wont remove it.

            • hey guys.. i noticed one thing in the disk brake of my bike..i dont know whether i'm asking a stupid question...well I noticed that when we turn the bike's tires i noticed some friction on those disc, like the tires are not rotating freely even without applying brakes...both the front & back have the same issue...then i checked in my brothers bike..there also the same thing...is it like that only???....if thats the case then millege is also effected by that na..

                usually happens when dirt gets into the brake pads.Use high pressure water source to remove the dirt. it will be fine

                  I have never used detergent (except for the tyres), i use turtle wax car shampoo or any other "human" shampoo i get my hands on, on the body.

                  • yesterday changed my rtr fi's fuel filter..........man just got amazed to see that the fuel filter was old one i.e., factory fitted fuek filter
                    when my bike crossed 14000 kms then I came to know abt fuel filter needs to be replaced after every 9000km so at that time went to svc to replace it with some issue facing with my bike ,but after keeping for two days when I went there my bike was kept totally untouched
                    after requesting a lot the service supervisor was unable to service my bike on that day so i asked them to change only the fuel filter and tune my bike and hand over to me, unfortunately the light went out so in dark some how the mech open the tank and did some thing sitting opposite to me ( was not able to see what he was doing )and the service supervisor asked me to pay the bill moreover they were not able to tune & give proper bill as there was no current so they gave me a hand written slip and asked to come next day for bill but I was so disgusted that I didn't went there next day.
                    recently my bike crossed 20000km mark and facing some serious prob..
                    1- huge amt of knocking no matter at what gear i am riding
                    2- pollution test fail
                    3- bike getting switch off automatically in the middle of the road some times jerking happening as there is no supply of fuel

                    so thinking of decarb, changing of valve, etc etc even once thinking of selling as getting very frustrated by the quality of TVS svc and spare unavailability
                    later went to svc for tune and buyed fuel filter and changed it self in home surprised by looking that they haven't changed fuel filter before that mean the bike was running with the same fuel filter from the beginning :-








                    this all thing came out from left petrol which was in the filter



                    after changing the fuel filter bike running superb though there is huge tappet noise



                    after this I was thinking to send a mail to tvs and call and inform this to the owner of the showroom but unfortunately i don't have a proper bill that means no proof
                    TVS svc guys are just ###$%$##@#@##@###@@@##**#

                      hey dude i suggest you put mail to the concerned person. You can get some offcial mail id's from the first page of this thread.TVS has always been known for their poor service. The higher officials have to deal with this so that in future it doesn't happen again. These junks are spoiling the name of TVS. Other than the service the bike is really awesome. I recently bought hyperedge black. Everyone said about the service but i was so deeply in love with apache that I went for it.

                        Hey guys ..am in big problem , My RTR Efi is some 50k kms old in 2years . Few days back Nox had suggest me to go and chk Compression pressure of my bike (as i was facing low pickup and top end issue + Low mileage) and i found that there is some 10-15% drop in Compression Pressure of my bike . Now yesterday i went to SVC and he gave me some 8000rs ka Est as he said he'll replace Block Pist + Valve kit + Timing chain but if there is play in Cam shaft shaft also need's replacement ...so now total Est goes up to 10k what shud i do should i change/ repair this bike Or shoudl i Sell her and get new machine m confused .
                        RTR Efi is my first bike and there is a lot's emo attachment with this machine . kindly suggest something . Also how much i'll get if I Sell it ..? and what r the procedure of Transferring papers and ownership ..?

                        Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

                          Bugger! You told me its about crank shaft imbalance (going offset).
                          Cam wont create any play. its bearings may need replacement. Camshaft will wear in case of flat face cam follower. But in RTR, we are blessed with roller cam followers.

                          Symptoms of crank shaft offset:
                          1. Abnormal noise from crankcase (similar to flour mill-chakki chalana...mecha's language)
                          2. Screwd crankshaft bearings and bore + piston.
                          3. Finally, after stretching furthur, Piston banging itself all round in block to head.

                          Reasons for crankshaft offset:
                          No or poor quality oil and improper oil change durations.
                          Manufacturing defect- which will result in above symptoms within 10k kms or sooner. depending upon how much you stress your bike.
                          There's lot to it other than saddle....

                            well i had no idea that Crank imbl and Crank shaft play mean's 2 diff things sorry for that but i think we'hd long disscussion over this . Hey also i had chance to talk to one hyper edge Owner he told me that there is less vibies(almost 0 vibies) bike is silent and ...TVS has improved its pickup and power delivery . Bike dose Wheelie in 3rd gear..

                              You mentioned camshaft play .
                              Camshaft: one which operate valves. Its located in head or crank case (in case of push rod engines)
                              Crankshaft: which is driven by piston, drives the piston and drives your bike tooo......(located in crank case)
                              There's lot to it other than saddle....

                                Get the injector cleaned. And CO seting done to 1.2 to 1.6 depending on setup you want. Do take reading of CO from exhaust gases.
                                There's lot to it other than saddle....
