hi guys..i lost the tool kit box..don't know exactly when I lost it...i keep it under the seat...i think during one of the service some crap guys must have removed it & forgot to keep it back

...how much would a new one cost

Thanks everyone.. the SVC centre - ramkay tvs didnt have a 160 logo..

couldn't see mine without a sticker there.. so bought a 180 one temporarily.. 160 may be coming in 4 to 5 days..

It costed 43 rs.

Ah! Saw this thread late. Could have saved your 43 rupees!

The 160 stickers are available at Brilliant TVS, Mandaveli. I myself have made a couple of trips to Ramkay a month ago but the sticker never seems to be available there and reading your post just tells me it hasn't still!

A new problem guys

My battery wasn't getting charged back even after 100 kms. a day that too on high revving ride @ 100+ kmph. I thought that the electrolyte of the battery needs to be topped-up. Told the same problem to the SVC guys and they also said the same thing and topped-up the battery. Still, even after a month, the problem never got resolved. Opened up the battery-side panel completely and found something horrible

I think the battery is leaking or the stupid SVC guys poured the electrolyte/acid in this thing

Attaching the pics. Can you guys find another reason behind this?

Also, what else can be wrong other than battery? How can I find out that the RR unit is the culprit or the battery. Though the pics points towards the battery

you detected the problem correctly, it's the electrolyte which caused this.

always check your battery from the battery shops.

charging issues, well, get the armature coil and the RR unit checked.

Again that ****ing stupid SVC guys come in between with warranty issues

And I don't understand how tha electrolyte went there. Either the battery is leaking or those dickheads pour the electrolyte so carelessly that it ruined the frame

Went to the service center today at 12. They just said that today's quota for the bikes is full, come next morning

. I asked about the warranty, they said the battery has warranty just for 1 year, not 2 years. I am not able to understand what to do now. I am really frustrated to see the frame so badly rusted

chill bro. Take your bike to nearest exide(hope you have exide) showroom and get it checked. I believe the battery is all right, it's the excessive electrolyte. Just get those checked from the battery service centers. And get your RR unit and Charging coil checked. If they are faulty, you'll get a replacement under warranty. And the rusted parts, just scrap using a sand paper and paint it black.

The battery is not changed, I mean, the same which comes as OEM with RTR. Don't know which one it is. The SVC poeple said its out of warranty now as its warranty was just 1 year.

open your side panel and see what brand it is, the warranty card will also be in your manual, going to SVC will not help, they might recommend changing battery so better check it from any battery shop. That's the best option to know whether your battery is dead or not.

There ain't any such warranty card in the manual

And, does the warranty of these batteries generally comes for more than 1 year? Yes I know different companies can have different warranty periods. I asked generally and I don't have much time for this problem bro. Just tomorrow and day after tomorrow

as I am planning to go on a roadtrip on this sunday and I have classes on friday and sat.

ok now that's new to me... i wouldn't have taken that risk though!!! Exide freedom comes with 1 yr warranty, Exide bikerz come with 18 months and Amaron comes with 2.5years guarantee+2.5years warranty... :O i know it's shocking.

but it's true.

Amaron battery is the best

go for it man recently installed in my pulsar and waiting for my rtr's tvs batt to go kaput so i can install amaron batt
