and also I want to know which of these will be a good replacement for my Apache 150 rear shocks..thanks in advance.
The price is around Rs 1600 each ! I would suggest to go with the stock replacement ones if it suits your budget. I on the other hand will be going in for Pulsar's shocks as it will make the ride a bit more comfortable and they are a bit cheaper as well at around Rs 750 each . Try these if you want to. You surely will lose some of the handling but the ride quality will improve a bit

      • Tvs apache rtr 180 abs

ABS gives good confidence even to an totally unexperienced driver like me to ride fast......
There is no vibration issues in top speed, the bike is very smooth and handles like a dream........
Xtra premium petrol increases the smoothness of the engine and decreases the vib from the eng a lot...
In short the bike is very smooth, handles well, and mainly ABS saves ur ass when u get into trouble....

                    i own a RTR 180

its been 11 months and my bikes done 7500 kms the bike's a scorcher and ever ready to revv.performance and hadling combo is the BEST.i liked it better than the R15.
                    BUT
four problems i havent been able to solve:-

1.handle bar wobbling/shaking when you leave the handle bar at 56-64 kmh( what could be the reason???)

2.inconsistant mileage......even with very sane riding max 60 km/h shifting below 4k rpm once i got 45 kmpl and another time i got 35 kmpl.i repeat very sane riding i have got these figures..

3.some trrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound comes near the key after the bike crosses 4k rpm.and its not keychains fault.

4.vibrations only in the afternoons or when the weather is very hot starts at 35 km/h goes on and on irritating!!!. vibes even after 80 km/h. (cold weather its fine vibes are almost nil. only slight vibes at 60-70.)

guys if you could help me solve all these problems my bike will be perfect..please guys help get rid of these problems..

ans: Check your forks. If they are leaking oil then the oil seal must be broken which results in wobbling. Get your steering cone checked as well.

2.inconsistant mileage......even with very sane riding max 60 km/h shifting below 4k rpm once i got 45 kmpl and another time i got 35 kmpl.i repeat very sane riding i have got these figures..

ans: Always keep your tyre air pressure in check. Get your airfilter cleaned. Mileage depends on lot of factors so can't be sure.

3.some trrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound comes near the key after the bike crosses 4k rpm.and its not keychains fault.

ans: Tighten all the bolts on the fairing.

4.vibrations only in the afternoons or when the weather is very hot starts at 35 km/h goes on and on irritating!!!. vibes even after 80 km/h. (cold weather its fine vibes are almost nil. only slight vibes at 60-70.)

ans: This is new. Vibes depending on the weather conditions. ??

                      • No body is answering my query. I ask again. Has anybody here put RTR 180's chain sproket set on the 160? If yes then what were the differences and how do you do it?? Is it a direct fit?

I think it will effect the performance level and gear ratios...not sure anyway...maybe some pros can comment on this...

If full set is changed, gearing will be marginally tall (difficult to detect), chain length need to be cut by 6 links before assembly.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

                              • New bike, Tips please!

Got my Apache 160 Hyper-edge today!
Very happy, its dual disc! 74,400 on road in New Delhi.
Drove it for 12 km to home worked fine(used all five gears, shifted at 4k rpm, kept below 45kph), but then it was not coming down from 3k rpm in the last few meters. Don't know why, its was 2pm in afternoon, so it was very hot.
I wanted a few tips how to keep it good in the run in period.
                                Thanks in advance!

And also, how do i upload a pic? :P
Browser says sending request to xbhp.com and nothing happens.
Except for bicycles, everything else: i learned to ride it in "Grand Theft Auto"!
