Also I thought its good to D-carb the engine every year atleast once and it will increase the performance, I mean it will give the feeling of new bike.
    Is my assumption wrong???
As I had felt like reduce in millege. Max I'm getting is 40kmpl which is less for apache HE 160. Ofcourse its in city and there are frequent gear changes which all effects. But I dont do insane riding. speed between 60-70 in city and gear shiftings either at 4k rpm or at 5k rpm.
    For all Bold Parts.

    1) Please google Engine Flush for more info I request experts to explain this am not good with technical terms

    2) Stock plus costs 110Rs max

    3) Always Count Engine life in KMS and not in years/months thats my funda please correct me if am wrong . and i think there is absolutely no need to do D-Carb @ 10k kms . Do this once you cross 30k kms atleast . To D-Carb the engine the mech need's to open Head cover , Engine Head and then clean Carbon and again assemble the engine . Do you wish to open the engine when it is only 9.5k old..?

    4) For LOW FE i cannot help you as am using FI version
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

      Thanks for your suggestions dude
Btw EngineFlush is something that is used to clean so that fully synthetic oils can be used instead of mineral oils.
But as you said most of the guys dont do it as nowadays the engines can handle fully synthetic oils and they dont need any special cleaning with Engine Flush.
Regarding decarbonizing I too now feel you are right. I dint know how they would do it. But if its by opening the engine and all then its a strict No--No

Regarding spark plugs if the iridium ones are just 110rs extra than the stock ones then its fine. But I dont know if they will have those ones in service centers or whether we have to buy and give them. It would be good if the dealers itself had them so that we dont mess up with the actual specifications required.
Anyway I think air filter cleaning is a must after riding in these dusty conditions of the road.

Got my bike serviced today (2nd free servicing) @ 911 km. Replaced TVS TRU4 in my RTR160 with Shell Advance AX5 20W-40. Shell is much better than TVS TRU4. Vibes have reduced a lot and engine feels much smoother than before!

          Thanks for your advice!

TVS TRU4 oil is good for cold conditions as it is 10w30 grade. So there wont be any any cold start issues. But 20w40 grade will reduce vibes but cold start issues do occur. Anyway right now I'm also using shell AX5, but will change to TVS oil in the my last free service due next month.

10w40 is actually a good grade where you can use in cold conditions as well as long trips

                    Whats the price of it?

                    • Shell AX7 Costs ~300, availability shouldnt be a problem in bangalore. Go to shell bunks if local dealers dont have it.

Top speed I attained was 126km/hr.
I had done a 900+ km trip within two days.
So its like 450+ km per day. Though we had stops or intervals in between the bike didn't show any lag or drop in performance.

                              • I could find rusting on my silencer nearby the engine guard area.
Bike will be one year this Dec only.
Is there anything I can do about this as I'm due for my last free service this week.
How can it be prevented from spreading?
Also I saw some rust on the disc pads.
Will that cause any breaking issues?
