The reason why SVC say this cause they do not have the history of your bike in regards to service with them to claim warranty from the company. But you can claim warranty from any dealer. Its the dealer's responsibility to check with the dealer whom you purchased the bike from for any more details he might need to claim it from the company.Originally posted by susheelkumar View Post07 HH Zma

Hi All,
Last friday I had given my bike for service, after which I'm facing some issues.
1) The RPM meter after some riding is now showing 2000RPM instead of optimal rpm(1200-1400). Some crap guys must have screwed the tuning.
2)Another strange fact is that now the bike won't self start when it is in gear.
Previously it used to work. Any idea what might be the reason for this???---------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok guys I got the info regarding self start issue. It's because of some problem in the clutch switch. Well I messaged the Tech head of the showroom on these issues and he called me back and asked me to come to get it rectified.Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostHi All,

I think Satish can help you out on this as he is in Hyderabad.Originally posted by PsychoRider View Posthey guys can anyone tell me which TVS service center is the best in Hyderabad?
plz don't say Shanti TVS, Himayat Nagar because it isn't.
Btw I believe every service center guys will have one or two tech heads who has good knowledge in bikes. But the problem is when there are many bikes for service in one day their eyes cant reach everywhere and some crap guys (which is the majority) with nill knowledge & less intention to work well will screw the bike. The same happened to me. So its all based on luck unless you fire them and say if these issues happen again u will inform the higher authorities.---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I showed the service center guys this rust issue. I asked them if it can be replaced for which they told there is no need to replace. Also replacement is required only if it forms holes. with some lame excuses.
Btw is there any liquid or anything that can be used to atleast control the rust spreading.
I think all these rust started popping out after beach drive which I had 2-3 weeks back. We all went to a drive-in beach (Muzhappilangadu beach, kerala) and drove in the saline water for sometime.---------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can try Kiran TVS in secunderabad. Thats where i have my bike serviced all the time. But make sure your bike is attend by either Sanjay or Sripathi. Or you can try Susheel motors in kukatpally. They are good too!Originally posted by PsychoRider View Posthey guys can anyone tell me which TVS service center is the best in Hyderabad?

Thats true, but the rust would spread and form a hole for sure, but it will take its own sweet time. Tell them right now its fine, but what if the rust get worse when you are out of warrenty period? If they still dont budge talk to the SVC manager and then to the Service engineer! Tell them its fine if the dont replace it now, but they will have to when it get worst!Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostI showed the service center guys this rust issue. I have the same opinion. Last time these guys changed the engine oil and forgot to tighten the drain plug. It drained all of the oil. But i took it positively as it prompted me to move from TVS Tru4 to Castrol Power 1.Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostI think Satish can help you out on this as he is in Hyderabad.

I hope anyone can give me a suggestion on two of my problems
1.) Whenever i reach 115kmph my handle starts to wobble left and right vigorously. The first time I felt like I was going to die
. It happens sometimes at 80kmph also.
2.) My spark plug hasn't been changed in 2 years(more than 10k kms i think). Should i change it?
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.Last edited by PsychoRider; 12-06-2011, 03:28 PM.Live Free, Ride Hard

Finally sorted the clutch switch & high rpm issue...had messaged the mech lead regarding the issue & he called me bck to come and get it rectified...went back to the service center and they rectified it in half an hour...
Regarding spark plug please go through this link given below.Originally posted by PsychoRider View Post2.) My spark plug hasn't been changed in 2 years(more than 10k kms i think). Should i change it?

I hope it will be helpful
Btw after 10k of riding its good to change spark plug. But sometimes the issue wont be just of the plug, it can also be because of spark plug cable...
So get it checked from a local mechanic.---------------------------------------------------------------------------

There has been a lot of noise from the chain lately and I fear the chain set has gone kaput. I did try lubricating and tightening the chain but the problem persists. I am planning to leave the bike for service soon.
I ride about 40kms a day. The bike has run 13900Km so far and the bike is just 1 Year and 9 months old. I have some doubts regarding the above:
1. Should I replace only the sprocket or the chain set as a whole?
2. Does the chain set come under warranty?
3. Is there an average life for a chain set or does it vary? (assuming lubrication and chain tightening is done periodically)

If you've been regular with the lubing and slackness setting then 14k is no time for the chain set to go kaput!Originally posted by pushkarb View PostThere has been a lot of noise from the chain lately and I fear the chain set has gone kaput. New Rear Tyre?
Hey guys need to change the rear tyre asap, I am looking for a tire for day to day riding ! Looking at some previous post I guess Zapper Q 100/90-18 would be good. I don't want to hamper the handling. Thanks in advance !!!
