Hey am sorry for typo in previous post it was around 39-40k kms when i did D-carb any ways i cant say anything about your bike unless i get chance to ride it . But i will suggest you to Replace Block-Piston kit and avoid this D-carb hassle .
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

the Complete BlockPiston kit + Valve + timing chain + labor cost's around 4700INR . I didnt suggest D-carb because of its costs i think D-carb is SVC will cost you some 1000RS and then there is always NO guarantee that bike will perform better so IMO it is better to replace the entire kit rather than wasting money on these (Dcarbing) jobs .

          • Apache 160 HE tubeless tyre change

            Hi,
Recently changed front, rear tyres to tubeless with front - mrf zapper FS stock size. rear - Pirelli 110/80. B'cos my rim it wont support tubeless valve, mechanic did a makeshift valve that come with Tubed ones and it was fine with no leakage. I went for a trip to pondicherry on the same day and in that 100 Kms was a very bad patch with too many pot holes with many hurt me and the bike. I was feeling wobbling and got pressure checked in pondicherry, it was 15 psi in the front.. what could be reason ? Also i want to know whether this makeshift valve is a permanent solution for tubeless tyres ?

            Thanks,
            Vinoth

If valves are being changed, they will decarb by default. Replacement of block piston is recommended only in case of piston slap (clearance more than 100 micron).
Timing chain should be changed at 35-40k, as it gets elongated (depends on oil change intervals & usage).

if its 40k, better to change valves for carb bike.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

                • Well one of my friend said that he adds coolants along with the oil (10w30 Tvs oil) in his RTR-FI. He said its good for long trips as it doesn't get heated up soon.
But I have heard that it will make the engine rough but he hasn't felt so.

Anybody else has tried the same?
Is it really good for the engine?
Is it really worth to try?
Btw as of now I'm using Shell 10w40(Semi-synthetic).

Coolant does not have any lubricating properties.
It will damage the engine and your engine oil will look like Mayonnaise.
You need a radiator and water channels in a engine to put coolant .

Always remember that coolant and oil are not good friends.

                            • guys what is the problem with mileage now a days?? even after repeated tuning i get only around 30. what could be the problem. i dont drive more that 50kmph in city. as always but it has reduced from around 40-45 to 30-35.help urgent.

and front suspension is bottoming out ?so what should i do ?i tried tightening of cone set, front fork oil change, front forks changed. still they bottom out at normal speeds. i never have bottom out the back suspension even after setting it to softest setting and with pillion. just the front.. help me sort out ?

i heard that mileage of apache bikes goes down as it ages is it true ? i drive normally in city. daily commute is 30-50kms. and weekends around 100 to 200kms avg. at highways i ride around 70 to 80 kmph only.
