whoaaaOriginally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostI am yet to ride the bike. The bike is with HydBiker now. I will post the review soon. Of course, you cannot compare it with ZMA
. The bike is little close to 150cc performance. Bought this keeping in mind 90% city usage and occasional short highway trips.
I got almost new bike at 65k which is a superb deal (the carburetted version is 64k on road hyderabad).

is the stunner tat costly??
NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT

The new stunner now sports tachometer, tubeless tyres, MF battery, viscous air filter, all new grahix with black engine. For all this HOnda increased the base price by almost 2,500 and coupled with higher tax rates in AP, the bike is very costly now.Originally posted by madhav krishna View Postwhoaaa

Hmmm.... Wanted to buy ZMR, but not satisfied with it as it is not viable (very expensive to maintain with the huge fairing). Also, I was tight on financials (sometimes cannot be avoidable; even I had to sell my Wagon-R).Originally posted by anmol_1990 View Post@ ravi sir,

Review of old stunner
Hi all,
I know that it's too late for a review of an old Stunner, as we are now discussing about the new Stunner and the pgm-fi version, but still I feel like posting it.
I own a black Stunner (non-FI, without tachometer) with ES, Disc brake and alloy wheels for approx 6.5 months now.
Primarily I am a city biker. I use my Stunner for office commuting. For that purpose, it serves me well. The looks are awesome. The engine is real smooth. At 5th gear, the comfortable speed is 50km/hr. The gear shifting in city is to be done quite frequently in Stunner, but shifting is butter-smooth. Fuel efficiency is about 52kmpl in city. Handling is quite smooth. A big advantage is the tubeless tyres, so you need not worry about tyre punctures that much. The pick-up is alright. The headlight is quite OK for a stunner.
The main disadvantages are already discussed in the previous posts. Mentioning some of them again:
The weak horn of Stunner.
The rear suspensions are not nitro ones, neither its mono (though personally I feel its OK, serving the purpose well. But mono-suspension would have been great, both for performance and looks)
The front suspension is a bit softer than necessary (sometimes makes a "thud" sound)
As mentioned before, in city-riding, gear shifting needs to be done frequently, but it is compensated with the very smooth shifting process.
Sometimes, I feel confused whether I'm riding on 4th gear or 5th.
The pillion seat is a bit high for short-height pillion-riders.
There is no tachometer supplied (though it's provided in the new one)
It would have been great if the backlight had been an LED one.
The aerobic design and split-seat provides beautiful riding comfort to Stunner owners. Recently, I did a 450 kms one-day trip (from Bhubaneswar to Chandipur beach and back). And I did not feel any type of discomfort throughout the whole trip. I was riding at a constant 60kmph. I was accompanied by a ZMA throughout the trip. We exchanged our vehicles for about 50-60 kms. (The comfort level and smoothness at 5th gear of ZMA was unparallel...
) Anyways, my point is, the ZMA was cruising at 60kmph @ 5k rpm. The stunner was probably @ 6-6.5k rpm (that is what I felt. As I don't have a tachometer, can't provide you with the exact values). One sweet thing that I noticed is, after travelling 70-80 kms at a constant 60 kmph, when the engine became hot, the Stunner automatically shifted to 70 kmph at the same throttle...
That was awesome...
Anyways, my one-day 450 kms trip was a very comfortable one. Thanks to Stunner's sitting comfort. And the fuel efficiency was about 60 kmpl.
The highest speed that I attained on Stunner till now is 100 kmph. I don't think it will be able to cross that much, may be 105 kmph max.
There are absolutely no maintainance problems till now. I will be soon going through the 4th free servicing. Will post the performance of my Stunner after the free service later.
Comments and Critics welcome...

But dude, on the contrary, I feel it's quite smooth. Even many of my friends tried it. And they also gave the same comments to me..!!Originally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostNice review.. just want to add that I found the Stunner engine pretty unrefined for a Honda.
I don't know, but we're talking here about the Stunner generalised, AND
if you are right, then I'm a lucky guy...
or else, if I'm right, then Honda is lucky...

Finally, got the bike just now, after giving a party to ravikiran and HydBiker (we had some nice homemade biriyani
). Rode for just 7 kms. Till 0-60 the bike is extremely smooth and quick and the acceleration is as good as Unicorn. Slight handle-bar vibrations started at 70 and kept till 80 kmph and that is the max that I went. The FI kept the acceleration linear without any hiccups or flatspots.
Reasons I went for the ridiculously expensive Stunner FI.
- The looks, color, and exclusivity. (Yes! I love it since when I saw it for the first time.
- PGM-FI.
- Excellent city bike coupled with great mileage.
- And, most importantly, got an almost new bike at 65k (13k less than the original price), which is a fair deal.
I will post the pics in a day or two.
Thank you! and wait for sometime for the review.Originally posted by Satellite.kid View Post@ravi@17bhp: Congratulations for Stunner FI...I really like this bike. Please post your experience with the bike whenever u can

Thank you! Agreed that the knee recesses are cool.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostCongrats on the FI ravi!
Best part I liked on Stunner is...its Knee recess!

Thanks Soumen!! The onroad price in Hyd is 77K. I have been through the roughest patch in my life, both personally and financially, and I hope I am at the end of it.Originally posted by happybiking View Post@ Ravi anna : Congrats on the Stunner Fi...Although am unable to see reasons why you went for it ahead of other bikes in that price range...anyways am sure you must be having your reason!!!
