Stay with stock front or put fz's front tyre.

      Sir

Handling and braking will be affected.
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

In my opinion, stock front is best. But you'll not find it easily.. So you better start looking for it.

            Hi akkiforever007,

I am using below spec tires on my dazzler:
Front: MRF nylogrip zapper fx 100/80 R17 (May be this one is used by FZ also please correct me)
Rear: MRf mogrip metor 120/80 R17 (Has got off roading pattern, size same as Vyde)

This combo gives me a decent all around/all weather performance. There is a trade of with cornering on plain tarmac, and rear is a bit heavier than before(may be Vyde will be lighter), but it offers great ride quality(rider/pillion) and very strong stopping power irrespective of terrain (my priority). there is no noticeable difference in FE and performance.

You can check my older posts from#2999, they have the pics etc.

            hope it helps,

My dad went to get the tyre today Vyde 120/80 .The guys at the MRF place told that it won't fit and then called a local mechanic who confirmed the same.
they said it would touch the chain, which does look awfully close to stock tyre(it is pretty loose now as well, due for service),My dad then called HMSI dealer
and he also suggested to stick with crappy stock tyre.Thankfully zapper c 110 was not available at the moment.
Is there enough clearance between chain and tyre without any modifications whatsoever.
                zapper vyde 120/80 R17.
                Thank you

Yes the clearance is enough.. At least for my bike. Chain is close to the tyres but it doesn't touch.

                    Hi,
I fixed new tyres at a big MRF shop, and discussed up sizing with them (dealer + mechanics) before installation.
The clearance might get reduced a bit, but that no way affects anything. I haven't faced any issue till now, and cant visualize any scenario where it may hinder.
plus no modifications were done to adjust new size.

                    Regards

The damage done after the accident/slip
Handle bar was bent like it was made of plastic.Getting parts of Dazzler is a problem. The damaged cowls took 15 days to arrive also they got the wrong colour front cowl saying its not available and they would charge 400-500 for painting it black.
Have placed a new order for the front cowl at a different ASS
Has anybody changed these parts on their own???

Thank you for the pictures of the parts.I tried opening the assembly but could not figure out how to remove the front cowl the metallic painted part I tried pulling moving it around but could not remove it.

It would be really great if you could try to write down how you did it

I removed all the screws but still was not able to remove it

                            Let me try my bit

The center cowl has two plastic pins which holds the meter cover shown below.

The meter cover slides into those pins (at the red marked area), there are also rubber rings/dampeners inside the marked cavities.
also the cover head (the component which surrounds the entire console parameter) can also be detached from meter cover (after removing screws from the area marked in blue in above and below images)

So to remove the meter cover you need to first remove the screws from green marked area, and then (the hard part comes) pull the meter cover in such a way that you dont break anything. (its easy to slide in again)

For the glossy part you are referring you can see the inside structure below:

The portion connecting the 1st screw from the LHS in the picture actually slides inside the casing, but the screw is visible from the outside.

Instead I would say disconnect all the wiring and remove the headlight assembly (detach it from bike) and then remove the parts individually. Removing all the screws and stretching the entire mold might remove it easily . This way you can open screws present inside and easily remove any other attached part. This may also reduce any chance of accidentally breaking any lock or screw holder.

                            hope it helps.

Am running Vyde since last 12000 kms. So, yes there is enough clearance between chain and tyre. It is completely stock replacement - absolutely zero modifications.

My front cowl was similarly damaged. I wet sanded the damaged side of the panel by 1500 grit sand paper so that it was as smooth as possible. Then applied a matt black vinyl sticker over the complete damaged side from a road side sticker shop. Looks like stock, the sticker is difficult to make out even on close inspection - and total hit to the wallet? Rs.20/- :P

I hate Honda ASS,I placed at a different ASS and few days later i went to check whether it has arrived and they suggest I check at other ASS also and suggest one near andheri. There is apolicy of these stupid ASS that they will not issue parts over the counter so you have to buy and get it fixed at the same place.

Damage to the wallet is as follows
                                1) Front cowl- Rs.145
                                2)Headlight frame-Rs.364
                                3)front screen-Rs.230
                                4)R.H.S turn indicator-Rs.217
I requested/argued about their stupid policy but to no avail...
                                Thanks @shail016 for your help
