Thank you! ☺
People have fit 100/80 in the front and 120/80 at the back.

Guys..

My Dazzler's head ( the whole head light assembly, head light visor and cowl) is rattling alot since a small crash by one if my friend.

Its quite hard to get the Dazzler parts here in Kerala.

So I was thinking of changing the whole headlight.

Seen lots of pulsar using fz heads, and many other bike using other headlights, I am planning for the 200NS head, that is the most close head to the dazzlers stock i think, both bikes resembling the Honda CB1000R.

So what difficulties are there in doing this?
Is it possible to change the console to the NS ones along with it?

Some body please throw some light on it.

Thank you.

Hi,

2) The bleeder screw of rear disc brake has worn off so cannot be opened with ring spanner, anyone got any idea how to open it?

3)Contact for Spare Parts dealers for Honda Dazzler in Mumbai. I have tried many from online but they do not have small parts that I required.

Thank you in advance.

Hello All,

This is my first post in xbhp and glad to join you all. This is me and my wing ride in the recent one day trip of 700+kms. My bike has done about 94k kms in 7 years of ownership.

Pretty happy with my bike and the reliability of Honda built. Looking forward to complete the 1L mark by the end of this year hopefully[emoji2]

Its been 45days i sold my CBdazzler. It used to give me 58Kmpl if i ride withing 55kmph. Felt so emotional while selling but for new bike i sold it apparently.
If you are from Hyderabad u can get those fairing parts from HONDA SERVICE CENTER- RAMKOTI.i searched every where in hyderabad luckily found them in RAMKOTI place.I fixed the fairing my self.

Miss you dazzler.

You can cruise on 75 to 85KMPH.75 is best after that also its okay but wind resistance makes us exhaustive. with proper gear you can make it to 90kmph on highway. The engine of CB Dazzler is gem,it's so silent and you won't even hear the engine stressing at those speeds.

Can understand your feelings bro. I couldn't give up on mine. I have lost it once in Hyderabad and the police found it back in a month. Nothing short of a miracle isn't it.

I had changed the entire fairing retaining the headlight and silencer covers. Ordered here in showroom here and got it after a month of waiting. Recently got the bore kit changed. Now she's as good as new again.

I don't think I'll ever be able to sell her.

leech rightly said by Ganesh999 the engine feels at home cruising around 75-85kmph. You can go beyond that too and the engine never lets you down. I've done Vijayawada-Hyderabad-Vijayawada once and was able to cover distance of 100km/hr average maintaining speeds of 100+. So 6 hrs for 600kms and the engine showed no change in the way it beats after that long haul.

Hats of to Honda for the bullet proof reliability.

Too late for a reply..
Yes the dazzler is a gem! Its the best 150cc honda except the cbr150 obviously. The engine is an eager free revving Version of normal unicorn.
Mine is almost 7 year.
It came way ahead of its time.
Still unique in many ways, like the only 135kg 150cc bike with a metal tank, gixxer fz hornet all have fibre tank.
I love analog rpm meter and this bike has it.
Right now own a fz25 also.
Trust me the dazzler feels more confident and sharp around corners than my fz25.
Gear box is the sleekest after 2nd gear.
1-N-2 its too annoying and clunky.
The top end is still better than most of the current150cc nakeds.
Does 120 without much effort even today and does 128 with complete tuck down.
Returns 60kmpl if ridden sanely.

Won't sell this beauty!

My Dazzlers average has fallen way down. I see others giving 55-60kms/L, but mine has started to give just 40-42kms/L that too with sane riding.
Guys what do you suggest to get checked?

Hey guys,

I wanted to write about my ownership experience and current status on my bike and i also wanted to understand your thoughts and suggestions.

Overview:

I own a 2011 November registration Red Dazzler, till date the bike has done 40,000 kms. No modifications made to the vehicle, accident free (had fallen once on a slippery road but only the crash guard seemed to be bent). The bike has, for the most part run on Shell Petrol. Bike has given me a fuel economy of 45KMPL on an average (my riding style is somewhat rash with harsh braking so i guess understandable)

Timeline:

Dec'11 - when i had only done about 400 kms i went on a coastal ride of Konkan which was about 1000 kms, so one can say major run-in was done in ghats/twisty roads. Made sure i didn't cross 50Kmph.

Dec'11 till Jan'13 - Used mostly for Home-Office-Home with short trips around Pune. Did a Goa round trip once.

Jan'13 - Sep'15 I was out of India and had given the bike for occasional riding to a neighbour who by the way maintains bikes very well. And ofcourse, i used it whenever i was in India.

Sep'15 till date - Used extensively to travel in & around Pune as well as a couple of trips within Maharashtra.

Servicing Schedule & management:
Mix of authorized + local mechanics

Major Repairs/Replacements:

Till September 2015:
• Nothing major, had changed rear indicator as someone had broken it. Rest was regular servicing.

Post September 2015:

• Front Tyre changed (2015)
• Chain & chain sprocket replaced (2016)
• Front Disc Pad changed (2016)
• Spark plug replaced (2017)
• Fork Oil changed (2017)
• Engine repair work (1. Engine was knocking and losing power after around 30-40kms of continuous running, mechanic identified timing chain issue 2. Engine was overheating as well for 200 kms before the particular service, issue was, engine oil wasn't reaching all round properly. 3. Engine oil level was dropping to almost 600 ML after about 1000kms of running since servicing but that also seems to be resolved) (2017)
• Battery Replaced (2017)
• Air Filter & Spark plug Replaced (2018)

Engine Oils Used:
• Honda Genuine Mineral (Multiple times and currently in use)
• Unknown (when the bike was with the neighbour but i am guessing Castrol)
• Shell AX7 10W40 Semi Synthetic (Once)
• Motul 7100 10W40 Full Synthetic (Multiple times)
• Motul 5100 15W50 Semi Synthetic (Once)
• Mobil1 10W30 Mineral (Once)
• Mobil Extra 4T 10W40 Semi Synthetic (Once)
• Honda Throttle for CBR 10W30 Full Synthetic (Twice)

In general, my impression is that the engine heats a lot with the OEM 10W30 Mineral oil but thats also the best for this Engine as it performs really well in terms of smoothness, throttle response & FE. Rest of the engine oils, well, Shell oil made the bike very rough with noticeable vibrations. Motul 7100 was OK (didn't find any great difference apart from reduced engine heat) but for the price (850 Rs/Lit & this being a 150CC motor doesn't really justify, for that reason Honda's Throttle (700 rs/Lit) is also expensive. Mobil1 Mineral was excellent but that was sourced from a Drum so dunno where we get it loose.

Overall, i would strongly advise everyone to stick with OEM Mineral 10W30 (Grey plastic container). I would not recommend more expensive ones instead i would say, change this oil every 1000 kms instead of service-to-service (price is around 300rs/lit). Also, i would not compare the Honda 10W30 to be the same as other 10W30's (Technically, 10W30 is too thin & underrated for the temperatures in Indian summers but somehow they have worked it out with the OEM oil, hence do not try other brands of 10W30 grade oil). In that case if you really do not wish to go with the OEM oil then stick to 10W40 (Please avoid Castrol & Shell). Motul is a good option in 10W40 but that grade of oil is really expensive Full Synthetic. There is no semi-synth that i know of for Motul's 10W-40 range. There is a mineral option in Motul but that's 20W40 which is not the same and i wouldn't recommend it.

Current Status:

Just got it serviced over the weekend at a nearby authorized service station and they replaced Spark plug & Air filter. They have strongly advised me to replace the Rear Tyre, Rear brake Disc & Disc pads (an estimate of Rs. 4500). The rear disc is heating a lot within 2-3 kms of running and also has concentric circular markings. I am loosing balance slightly from the rear end when cornering. Since i am planning to keep this bike until Modiji's mandate of full electric vehicles (2030 i believe) i am contemplating replacing the parts asap.

What has been your experience so far? Do you intend to keep the bike for longer or sell it off? Have my expenses been higher than average for this amount of running? What are some of the major problems that arise at higher mileage of 60, 70K's?

I got a 2012 Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler. I want to make it quieter or a better sounding bike at least if it can't be quieter.

What are my options? Should I replace the muffler? If yes, which one is best for it? Or any other changes?
