And as this is monsoon, i get an awful lot of complains from my pillion riders about how their trousers are ruined by the dirt. I guess, its coz of the total lack of a mud guard down there. Any one else HATE the DAZZLER for this?? Any solutions outlined???

Hello everyone,

I always wanted to change our dazzler's riding position to a slightly sportier one. For this I have already replaced the stock handle bar with the hh hunk's handle bar as it is slightly shorter than the dazzler. It was a direct fit which didn't required any special modifications.

Now I need to change the stock foot peg position to rear sets one. For this which one's should I go for - hh hunks or karizma zma rear set foot pegs?(complete assembly viz brake/gear shifter lever etc). Will it be a direct fit? or else what modifications I need to do?

The encircled portion is the port where the secondary air injection is connected. It is connected to the exhaust port. Your mechanic covered that because on starting the engine with that port on your bike will push the exhaust through it and thus he blocked it. By blocking it he stopped the exhaust gas escaping and thus he deadened the sound and thus your engine sounded smooth.

Cool! Which one is it (company name, so we can judge if its available in india)? Unconventional bulb design! By all weather do you mean that it has a white high beam but a yellow low beam?

1.which engine oil i should use now? i have seen that engine sound remains good for only about 300kms from oil change and latter it increases a bit.
2.which grade oil 10w40 or 20w40?(currently its honda 10w30)
3.i wanted to change the headlight as i feel it a bit downside in dark but dont want battery to go down, so which should i go for?(i know there is a post in xbhp on it or in this thread but coudnt track it now)
4.Should i go for AMC worth rs 900?

1,2. You cn go for Shell Advance AX7 semi synth oil. Lasts 2.5-3k based upon riding style.
3. @plasmabhai is happy with Osram Silverstar 35w H4 on his Dazzler.
1&2 You can go for either Motul 5100 or Shell AX7. I am currently running on AX7 and from personal experience I would say that Motul 5100 is definitely better than Shell AX7. But Motul 5100 costs about Rs520 and the prices might even have increased more, so it is a bit out of my budget. AX7 at ~Rs370 is value for money. You can try 10w40 grade oil in winters. For summers I will 100% recommend 20w40. 10w30 Honda oils is quite literally shit.

3 - As Divya Sharan says I am indeed quite happy with the Osram Silverstar 35/35w HS1 bulb. It is a stock replacement for our headlight bulb so does not affect battery and other electrical in anyway. The bulb promises 20m extra throw in high beam (true claim) and a 50% brightness in light than stock (I would say its more like 25%, but it is brighter than stock no doubt). At Rs125/- that is totally worth the money.

You can also ask Adarsh_Bk whether he is happy with his Osram bulb, I forget the name but it is costlier, about Rs500/-, has a white tinge to the light, is 90% brighter and 50m longer beam or so. This is also a stock replacement bulb, 35/35w H4 and will not affect peripheral electricals.

4 - Regarding AMC it depends, because AMC by every dealer is different. My dealer gave me a Rs1100/- AMC which had 5 services with zero labour cost, 10% spare part discount, no time limit, 10000 kms distance limit and one free wash. Despite the AMC I always used to pay from Rs250/- to Rs400/- on every service. Considering that I pay about Rs500 every service now (whenever I go to ASC i.e.) I think it was mostly a waste of money. But since every dealer gives different package, YMMV.
