I am at my home....no sports channel...no broadband...just mobile internet (go ahead and call it a village...
)...so i log in at 6:30 to see how the weekend was.....,
Some observations....
rossi finishes more than 1min behind stoner..., 6th is actually 9th(3 crashes), further 3.7 secs behind in qualifying...., am sure rossi wouldn't sleep well tonight...it would be interesting to see where he goes from here.....whether he bounces back or is this the signs of a fading legend(hope not)....
Jlolly crashes(after a long time)...and now unless somebody steps up to stoner...this is going to be another runaway championship....
Stoner is riding brilliantly....
Simoncelli is fast but he needs experience on that bike....anybody who has played any bike racing game would have gone through this stage....fast but still in need of better control....
EDIT: read this...http://www.motomatters.com/analysis/...y_round_u.html
Stoner impressed me here....mature talk...

Man even though it is tough to admit it (Originally posted by kingkong View PostEDIT: read this...2011 Silverstone MotoGP Saturday Round Up: Three Point Seven Six One Seconds | MotoMatters.com | Kropotkin Thinks

), Stoner has nailed it I guess.
Now that is called practical. Ducati into something like the Yamaha? From the VR's perspective, it might be true. Still hope VR will pull it offSimoncelli has been outstanding so far this weekend, and was strong on both soft and hard tires in practice. The Italian clearly has the pace to at least follow Stoner, though he may be missing the final tenth or so to be capable of launching an attack. But as Ben Spies put it this evening "both me and Marco have nothing to lose, we're not chasing a championship or anything. So maybe we can take a few more risks to get a result.

Bro, can you please not type with this: "............."Originally posted by princesirohi View Posttoday its rains everywhere in all the races .....watching F1 now..........rains here too........stopped race for some time.......lets see.........some crashes here too.
when can rossi return to his winning ways........??
It is very annoying to look at, & is not in line with forum rules.
My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240
The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

actually, i use it to induce a delay, while reading, so that the reader gets a feel of how i am thinking. no need to get annoyed.Originally posted by tibby View PostBro, can you please not type with this: "............."

Silverstone was way more interesting than Catalunya last week.
Lorenzo's first DNF since Philip Island in 2OO9.
Rossi may have finished 6th but he needs to thanks Sic, jLo n Spies for that.
but i guess we can give him this one since it's his first time at Silverstone.
(all the practice on the 1198 ride and his PS3 didn't seem to help.
)
currently at 68 points...
i'm seriously hoping Rossi can bring it to the Honda's by Mugello.
Sic quite literally crashed about 2.5 seconds after i said the words...
"he seems like he's pushing too hard... i hope he doesn't crash" darn!
it was funny when stoner Stoner (1st) & Dovi (2nd) passed Barbera (11th) & dePuniet. (12th)
I would have liked Dovi to win this one... but Stoner was just plain brilliant.
i liked the dirty move he pulled on Stoner in one of the early laps.
Superb ride by Edwards... a broken collarbone 10 days ago.
his bike seemed like it was setup up perfect.
(he kinda needs to thanks Sic, jLo n Spies for his podium too
)
yes. he was kinda confused at first too.Originally posted by Braumabull View PostEdwards 3rd

it's good u included a "when" at the beginning of that sentence.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postwhen can rossi return to his winning ways........??
an ellipsis is totally legal if you use just three dots.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postactually, i use it to induce a delay, while reading, so that the reader gets a feel of how i am thinking.

As they say a race is not over until you reach the finish line so I dont think he needs to thank anyone.Originally posted by xionite View PostSuperb ride by Edwards... a broken collarbone 10 days ago.

And from how Colin talks it feels like he sonsiders his body parts as spare parts ! 13 screws and a podium by avoiding highsides and lowsides by a 37 year old dog. APPLAUD.
Nicky had a great chance of podium and he had great pace ( considering other ducs ). Did anybody see how he controlled the highside at the end of C1? it was on the top end of the tv while the cam was focusing someother rider in front. To do that just shows how phenomenal he is. And when he rejoined the race he let Colin thru but he never made a position running off so I felt he shud have joined as soon as Spies crossed.BAYLISSTIC !!!!

Superb racing from both Bradl and Stoner. They were immaculate (though couple of hickups for Bradl) yesterday.
This time (for a change) I am also all praises for Stoner
. Fantastic to see his riding especially in the last sector of the track in qualifying. Gavin Emmett (motogp commentator) couldn't stop admiring his last corner maneuver of going over the painted area)
The gap of 3.7 seconds on dry from Stoner is not something one can cover up with trying different setups on the same bike. After the updated engine he was able to reduce the gap to 3.7 from 7 seconds. Likewise unless Rossi gets updated parts (mainly chassis) and post that he can alter his riding style according to the Duc, I don't think he is anywhere near the first place.
The fact that the carbon fibre parts are being delayed due to their manufacture time, he would still be in midpack and praying for somebody doing a "simoncelli" or a couple of crashes in wet race so that he ends up on the podium.
But one thing that's commendable is that he is bringing the bike home be it any condition which makes a lot of difference in first the moral, second the data collected over the full race and third for the points.
Everybody is telling even on the twitter that Rossi and crew is doing something special for mugello. Only three weeks will tell...
Yesterday the only fairy tale was of Colin Edwards making it to the podium. It is always so great to hear from him yesterday's post race interview was no different. I just hope he would win a motogp race before he retires...
Edit: @suren: yup it is not over till you cross the finish line. His hard work of keeping the bike upright and riding paid off if not he would have joined the rest of the fallersLast edited by TheRedPill; 06-13-2011, 01:37 PM.

oh no no... i'm not taking away anything from how he rode.Originally posted by suren View PostAs they say a race is not over until you reach the finish line so I dont think he needs to thank anyone.
was just saying... just like Spies n Edwards crashed out during the final lap at Jerez...
and "gave" Nicky Hayden third place.
Nicky was grinning after the race. coz he knew it was a gift.

It will take some more time for Vale to do this on a Duca.
I have one concern/Question.
When Stoner tried to develop the bike , it was gud only for him, Marco still used to crash or finish last or near last.
I 'm sure when Rossi develops the bike it would be friendly for all the Ducati users...Ernest Hemingway
