Lorenzo takes a wider angle to reach the apex and probably didn't think Rossi would be closer than he anticipated. I don't think fault is with Rossi on that pass.

The reporter asked Lorenzo what he thought of the overtake and he was simply stating his opinion.
jLo got ticked off that Rossi chuckled when he was answering his question.
He then got flustered when Rossi made it a conversation, and he just ended up sounding like he was complaining.

Jorge overtook Dani at Valencia in a really aggressive move that made Dani go off track and lose a couple of positions. Dani could have won that race.

Jorge could argue that that was because the championship was at stake but it's the same case as yesterday.
Rossi has a slim chance of winning the championship this year with Lorenzo 'too far off' in the points to seriously be considered a championship contender.
It's not called a block pass for no reason.

I found it funny how VR said "in Mugello, I was behind Jorge, It bring me unlucky because I broke my engine. So this time I wanna try to stay in front." haha!

Yeah. Rossi came into the corner using a tighter line. Lorenzo was on a wider line.
Now every racer knows that when this happens it's very likely that both riders will end up fighting for the same piece of tarmac coming out of the corner.

But my problem with Lorenzo is this; His RED X logo on his helmet is symbolic of his signature 'round the outside' maneuver.
Why in the world would he slow himself down in a first gear corner to fend of Rossi?

hey nirvaana, did you also see the "crybaby" rossi losing his shit in QP2 over aleix espargaro being somewhat closer to his line and not apologising for it ? or was that all reasonable (and not "crybaby" type) cuz he's rossi ? :P

jlo simply answered a (baiting) question by a journalist.."crybaby complaining" would have been if he'd talked about it and made a big deal about it all on his own, but no he didnt do that, he simply said what his opinion was when asked for it...rossi ended up getting offended when lorenzo said rossi's style is generally like that (yes that's an unfair generalization but then again there are too many examples of controversial moves by rossi more than any other riders except MM) and it became a big deal when rossi wouldnt let jlo complete what he was saying and instead claiming, without one example when asked, that lorenzo has *always* passed rossi too aggressively (what again?)...lorenzo's point was, from his own pov (if he's allowed to have any without prior approval from the majority of a certain fanbase), that rossi was obviously faster than him and would have passed him soon anyway so he(jlo) didnt understand why he(rossi) needed to do it so aggressively so soon, because it made jlo almost crash if he hadn't had stood his bike up.

the reality is somewhere between both their opinions and is what danantha has written...jlo ran a bit wide and didnt expect to suddenly see rossi up there so near to him that he had to stand his bike up, thus his surprise...similarly rossi presumably didnt plan on it but it just happened, he merely went for the gap left by jlo, but nonetheless the move made jlo face a near crash..

so either both were "crybabies" in that interview, or none..but i dont expect an unbiased judgement of a situation involving rossi from you mate ;-)

oh, what was that random meaningless thing rossi said about not wanting to be behind lorenzo for too long because it apparently brought bad luck to him in mugello and caused his engine to blow up (lol what? that doesnt even make sense like every other random superstition)..wasnt even laughing or anything or even had any sarcastic joking tone, said with a straight serious face, as if he actually believed his statement made any sense.

And not to forget that the press conference happens a few minutes after you are booed for being on the podium

The move by itself seemed perfectly fine. The unnecessary provocation from both Rossi and Lorenzo was well unnecessary! And Dorna is playing it up with the season end nearing!

Oh please!

Everyone knows that Lorenzo is a master at winning a race from the front. So Rossi didn't want Jorge to get into a rhythm.
So he made that move. Lorenzo left a gap. Rossi saw that gap. End of Story.

If you don't want to be block passed in a corner don't leave a gap.
It's not like Rossi went into the corner too hot or that he went in too hot and went wide because he had gone into the corner carrying too much speed.

It was a perfect move on a gap that existed.
Lorenzo tried to pull back in... which is why he had to stand the bike up.
But that wasn't his only option. In the moment he was looking to fight back. Excellent. But he lost.

These two superb riders don't get along. It'll be interesting to see them take each other on next year ala Ducati vs Yamaha.
That's when the gloves really will come off.

Wow.. so happy to see vinales on front row.. would be happy if he finish in front of Jorge tomorrow and finish 3 in championship this year.

pretty good race again, although the winner was predictable...

both aprilias in top 10, and again commendable rides by the two suzuki riders. at one point it almost looked like vinales would win it.
