Ducati denies Rossi deal is sealed | MotoGP News | Aug 2010 | Crash.Net

    • Personally i would say that this switch (if it happens for Rossi) would be the toughest test for him. Because he's developed the M1 more than he worked on the RC211V(when he was with Honda) so ideally M1 is more of a Rossi bike than it is a Lorenzo bike, however having an equally strong rider on a similar bike makes it tougher for Rossi. But on the other hand the Ducati is already good, he just needs to either adapt the bike to himself or himself to the bike to become a winning combination.
Lets see what happens..starting from whether Rossi moves to ducati or not
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

+1 mate.....also if Burgess and team decide to stay at Yamaha..then it would be even more difficult for the Doctor....

        • So yamaha is going to play the evil ex-wife and deny Rossi testing the Ducati at Valencia. he may have to wait untill Jan '11. Oops.

Other news. Some guy called Cal Crutchlow is in the Hot seat to fill Spies seat if he leaves for the Factory Yamaha.
wonder what edwards has in mind? AMA perhaps?

          • whatever it may be, but VR to Ducati would be the biggest PR exposure Team Ducati can get/has ever got after it re entered MotoGP...likes of the Micheal-Mercedes collaboration. Might be bigger than that.......And who knows the result can be - Team Fiat Ducati

is the Rossi-Yamaha stuff confirmed ?, a few days back it was said that Yamaha would allow Rossi..

If they do it....they will lose further respect....thats no way to treat a rider who has given them so much....

Edwards should move, if he gets a good bike and can challenge for top position.....no use coming in 5th-6th always....

YOU think you are better than Rossi? hahaha!!!

then I'd love to invite you to LAVASA / AMBY / MALSHEJ / KASHEDI (your choice), lets see what you got kid!
Aargh, leave the poor bloke alone, he's going to represent India very soon in MotoGP.

Rossi will finally have a worthy rival.
                  You get the point?? :D

                  • Come on guys leave the troll alone
Replies to his post is what the guy wants. He hasn't come to this thread to discuss anything.

Coming back to the topic (no it's not about rossi ducati )
The frech man is back. De Puniet might be making a record comeback in just 25 days after his accident .

Go Randy!!!! I am happy that he is back; hope he has recovered fully and he isn't making a mistake of coming back before injuries are totally healed.

I mean, I understand they are racing in MotoGP, and certainly that's big, but testing, or a wild card, or something with a factory machine is perhaps required for them to showcase their skills... Well, maybe this is becoming a rant.

P.S.- I'd read this a few pages back probably this year's MotoGP race is going to get levelled, because of the new 6 engines per season rule. Lorenzo has rapidly run through his engines, and is left with just 2 (or maybe 1 ) engine! While Rossi missed a few races, that saved his engines. So perhaps a stage will come when Lorenzo will have to lose positions for making his engine last, while Rossi rakes in the points, and then there's a final battle with both down to one engine each...

RDP's Pace has been excellent for past few races, hope he gets noticed and gets a good ride....., same for Toni Elias....am a big fan of the guy......hope he wins that Moto2 championship and comes back to premier class....,

I sincerely hope for it.., but the point difference is too big..(120 points), also I feel Dorna will not be so restrict regarding this.....they have already allowed Suzuki to use more.....now they would have to allow Lorenzo as well....

Still I want this to happen....

The points difference is seriously is too big, but if Jorge is not penalised for using more than 6 engines it would be unfair to the Ducs and Honda guys who have engineered the engines to match the consistency level required for the the competetion. But lets see, You never know if they allow Suzuki, Jorge might certainly be the next one in line :P

one more hurdle is there, right now most of the guys are simply not able to challenge Lorenzo...they are making mistakes by the dozen.., so even if Rossi wins then Lorenzo would have to be pushed down very low..(and that too in a no. of races) to make up the difference in points..., that seems very difficult considering the flawless way lorenzo is riding...

                              Rightly pointed out
but i personally don't mind Jorge the C'ship but I would certainly want the rules to be the same for everyone.
Wouldn't want Jorge finishing up engines like tissue papaer while others sacrifice points just to save their engines for later part of the season.

+1 mate....., it should be fair..., Lorenzo is a great rider and Champion material.....but am still a Rossi fan at heart....and am gonna support him even if he finishes last...., I know that after Rossi retires am gonna support either Lorenzo or Spies....
