  • and no one mentioned UNFAIR advantage to Suzuki? oh sure if the title race starts to get boring then lorenzo will surely start from the pit. else its a fight to finish with 6 or 20 engines. Right Dorna???

Dorna Stupidity in creating this rule and then unfairly exempting Suzuki from it is hidden from no one..., its just that few people care about it (except maybe a few fans)....coz the suzukis aren't finishing anywhere near the top...

Dorna is trying hard to save Suzuki from quitting motogp, I read somewhere that Suzuki threatened to quit if the penalty was imposed...other teams didn't object because suzuki isn't competition..(or maybe Dorna shut them up)....

it would be interesting now to see that what they do with Lorenzo.....they are not going to be let off the hook easily...

i would even want suzuki to pay the penalty. If it is for one ..it should be for all...even if the starting number on the grid goes down....you can't take a u-turn from a commitment. A rule is a rule...and I think Dorna should stick to it...tilte or no title
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

        • J Lo has used his engines, but not blown them.

He can definitely use them afterwards. (I believe he hasn't crashed in '10)

Oh, engines aren't in danger of damage just by crashing.

The average life of a race engine is just about 2 races (not a fact, just a vague, wild guess. No boulders please. ). So even running it is destroying it.

If Dorna does impose the rule, MotoGP will get seriously confusing. 8 riders starting from the pits, 3 from the track, 1'45'' of difference between the front runners, pit starters don't know who's who, and in which position. People who double, triple, quadruple-break the rule start 2 minutes later later, and find the track is flooded by spectators on lap 10. 'WHAT THE HELL'!
'Oh, you don't know yet? Rossi won. Quit racing dude'.
            You get the point?? :D

            • Yup, the race engines have very less tolerance. But maybe he can just cruise and he already has much points to win the championship.

J Lo--Get over your Rossi style race-win celebrations and I am sure you shall win more fans.

              • latest Engine usage data of riders.....

J Lo position is not so bad.....unless he crashes/scraps another one.....

I didn't knew the concept of sealing engines i.e. once an engine leaves the pit lane.....the only changes that a team can make is the engine oil...
