Suzuki bikes comes with excellent braking qualities. So I don't think it should have disk brakes. The people who demand for discs may be lack of confidence on their driving skills. I am driving my bike without any disk brake and still never faced any accident because of braking mistake.

it may be targeted at the mass segment, but c'mon, the design language of the bike is so confusing.AFAIK,neither youngsters nor the 28+ group will find this offering attractive...if they do want to survive, why not bring in a decent looking product.the engine is robust,i very much agree though.looks may be subjective but still...btw,i think the rear suspension layout remains unchanged..
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

Totally MAN!!!! I mean brakes are such a waste so are crash guards, indicators and rear view mirrors! I mean those were the first few things i threw out of my bike. I now just jump off my bike when I have to stop and put my feet down to slow it.

Sorry for OT, but could not resist!

The engine might be proven but unless you enter into a market with a clear strategy, it is of no use. It looks like they are trying to target the youth. The bike will have to prove itself really well to compensate for its horrible looks. While GS 150 is a great bike - looks great, very good engine and nice handling (so I hear). But this looks like a love child of Lady gaga and a tobu cycle

              Don't know what to say???

IMO suzuki bikes are decent coz i've rode two of them(Zeus and GS150R)... and the owners were satisfied with their bikes and they've got no complaint about the bike. Engine is reliable (c'mon its a SUZUKI).
And this time, just like GS150R they've launched Slingshot with tit-bits from here and there... Its a bike for those who were asking for a "better" looking suzuki 125cc bike than the Heat and Zeus...
the engine is reliable probably bcoz they tune it (down) for lower power delivery and increased reliability...

P.S.- Take the example of GS150R,Zeus,Slingshot and just imagine their 200+cc bike in the future...(in terms of looks and power)HORRIBLE

the bike's pricing is done very well. But the bike looks awfull. Its just another 125cc in the already crowded market.
NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT

Lets see how it works out for suzuki

They seems to call this as stylish 125cc
and some says its ugliest among all 125cc bike
I would say it looks different [standing out but not outstanding] from all other bikes in that segment

anyway in the coming days we are going to see how it performance

This is what i found on suzuki web site,

We've discussed this same issue countless number of times for the better part of half a decade. You know where I'm coming from.
The changes are there. The big imports cannot be discounted. The acquisition of a substantial stake by Bajaj in KTM cannot be discounted. There are lot of things on the anvil. The n250 was one which materialized a lot quickly than the others in the que.

The change has to occur in the mentality of the people who are buying the product in India, not the manufacturers. They cannot force a product down the throats of consumers who dont want them. An unbelievable majority of the population still wants mileage, low on road costs, they really dont care where the instrument cluster is placed on the bike. Trust me.

What does it offer more than the other 125's? Other than the colours of course.

The alloys do look different ...

Design looks.... i better not comment on it.

Liked the side view of headlamp and the console.

And somehow i feel that suzuki has the best designs when it comes to Alloys.

i love the GS alloys in 150CC Category and now these are best in 125.

                            Atleast they got something right.

Sunny, I agree to your idea about producing what is demanded, else meet the fate as Honda met in Canada. ( I wasn't aware till Sunny told me about the same).

I see that Honda Stunner selling in decent numbers, so is Yamaha FZ series. Bajaj Pulsars too are selling in good numbers, without forgetting the Hero Hondas..... The possible answer is the fact that the manufactures have targeted an audience/ market and catered to the segment likewise.

The Slingshot here is targeted at a segment that wants the FE of 100 cc and looks of 150 cc. It definitely is not super bad looking, but I wonder how many numbers is The sales Team of Suzuki targeting, now when they have a lot of 125 cc from HH, Stunner and Shine from Honda, Gladiator and some more 125 cc from Yamaha, Lot of 112 to 135 cc from Bajaj to compete with.

also, Suzuki should not forget that as of now it has the smallest share percentage in the two wheeler market PAN India and till the time SMIPL brings in something innovative, they would continue eating the Left overs...

Just my Thought, without ignoring the fact that Suzukis and Hondas have the best/ reliable engines on the comparative Chart.
