At least one has to admit that they have made an effort and changed the whole damn design! Unlike hero honda which does stickering and calls them new designs.
Personally i think the previous iteration ,the zeus was a better looking bike than this and it was selling in some numbers too .Mainly because of the engine and gearbox combo's reliability factor . Backed up by suzuki's reputation.
Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

Looks like a hybrid of Yamaha FZ from front and Honda Shine from rear!

The bike looks pretty nice, contradictory to the claims of it being very ugly. Certainly not "the stunner killer" though.

Cool set of alloys, if they can support the weight of bigger (indian) bikes, we will see that design on our pulsars, ZMAs soon I guess.

One thing I am realising, although very painfully slowly, is that we have stop hating these small engined mass market bikes. We need to promote biking into the populace obsessed with lowest prises and highest fuel economy. As it was mentioned by Sunny, no one can force somebody to buy a high capacity sporty product if he does not like it and does not want to buy it.

Bottom line, through forums like XBHP, we need to reach to people who really love their bikes big or small and promote safe biking!
A lot needs to be done about the condition of old and poorly maintained two wheelers plying on Indian roads today and make their owners aware to make a better choice.

The bike manufacturers are making this choice available by launching their entry level cost competitive bikes.

As it is repeatedly discussed on XBHP, a change of mindset of the buyer is necessary which will come very slowly.
We all on XBHP can act as a catalyst and spread the word about the dream machines though

                  cheers!

Seeing so much criticism regarding this 125cc offering from Suzuki, I wonder why most of you call yourselves passionate about bikes. Hypocrites, I would say!
You guys are talking like Suzuki had promised a 35-40bhp machine on this date, but came up with only the Slingshot. Grow up guys!
This bike is not aimed at consumers like us, who see so many beautiful & powerful bikes day in & day out, on this forum & at offline g2gs.
Its for the segment that has probably not even heard of xBhp.
Learn to appreciate! Most of the populace isn't in high paying jobs, & can't afford a bike costlier than 50k. This bike is for them, not for the power hungry segment.

On the styling front, the bike looks good. Its obviously a step ahead from the Splendor, Shine, Gladiator IMO. The allowy do look a bit ugly & big to me though. I think the design of the alloy makes it more functional in case of a crash.
Overall, with the GS150R inspired styling, the bike does look good.

I hope suzuki are able to see some nice numbers in their sales charts, & come up with something big for us soon (I'm sure most of those being critical here, would not buy the bigger bikes if they're launched. All they want is to see a big bike. I wonder why!)

                          Nice one mate:

I will not generalize, I have in past admirred the smaller bikes and I do that even now.
Purely for me, the bike is perhaps the most hideous looking bike I have seen so far, and which is what I wrote.. if this is what Suzuki is conceptualised as the Stunner Killer, then holy japanese cow, I dont want to see what they said about the R15 and FZ killer!

The SZ, Jive, P135, Shine and so many more even from HH are such fanastic options around the 50k mark... so why NOT call a spade a spade?

I did not expect a bigger bike, but that does not dilute the way I felt about the way I feel about this bike!

I have seen this trend on xBHP about both types of verbal diahorea, one set of people ridicule everything they see and the other defending it and reaching extremes... and then there is this third type of folks (me included) who dont have enough work @ office and they write long posts.

                          Bottom line..
Dont be a fanboy... on either extreme...
Stop promoting stupid upgrades because you own them, or a product from that company!

The slingshot images were all over the web a few months back, and almost everyone joked about it.. Do you think xBHP despite being one of the BIGGEST biking community here impacted anything in Suzuki Indias plans about it. The fact remain, Suzuki is going what used to be (and probably still is) the Honda way.. atleast Honda is now shaping up and selling sensibly.

IMO this bike sucks big time if they thought this is what was made to kill the Stunner! If you are talking about killing a CD, or a Splendour, then it rocks... but is it meant for that audience?

I hope suzuki suffers the way Yamaha did, and wakes up and acknowledge us too

                            i agree to it completely.
125cc category is actually having two different type of bikes now!
                            1> commuter
                            2> sporty
this bike focused on the sportier side does look out of place. everything is just so odd.

it is not that i am criticizing the bike, but it does not look good to my eye, i just said that! of course looks are subjective and no point arguing on this.

but once again i just hope it doesn't look so bad in flesh as in the pictures!

                              +1...exactly the point...

most of them are criticizing the product not because it's a 125cc bike ,but just take a look at the segment...it just struggles to fit in anywhere and certainly not pleasing to the eyes(the design may grow upon us though)...
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

what friends, this is not that bad looking....
Remember......when Suzuki GS150 was launched, people said, this would drown with the company itself....but NOW,look at its sales figure.
who knows the future....see,some body of us ,would be purchasing the bike...
                                come on yaar,why so serious???hahaha...

Though i am not a big fan of this bike, but this is definitely going to stir the competition..

And let the positive sales figure,be the stepping stone for the Bigger bikes......

Patience dear friends....it takes time....its India....20% of population are still starving....
