I will buy but after an year. not imemdiately what about others?
of course people do...... & its fun to see people posting the same stuff & commenting the comments & repeating the same stuff....... if we remove the repeating posts then this thread might get limited to few pages....... on the good note, people are very excited about this launch....... hope Mahindra doesn't let us down.......

      iWould.

      - considering the bike is 300cc.
      - has USD forks.
      - has good breaking capabilities.
      - is 27ish bhp and up.
      - if its better than the comet 250 in terms of power etc.
      - is expecting a true top speed of 165-175kmph reasonable?

of-course i would wait for 3 months or so for initial feedback from riders tho.

but yes. iWould. upto about 2 lac.

don;t expect too much on speed... i don;t think u can handle more than 140kmph speed on naked bike .. the wind blast will be too much in that case.... if its fully fared aerodynamically designed then u can speed up to 180kmph

          • back in 2008 yamaha unleashed the bomb shell-the r15. no body expected yamaha to come up with a brand new product that is so special. then they launched the fz targeting the mass markrt. with r15 they recaptured the lost image before releasing the fz. it was a successful strategy. similarly mahindra may be launching a big bike before targeting the mass market.

is it?? correct me if i am wrong, did the rd 350 have a fairing. Dude get real, 180-200 is no break neck speed that a naked bike can't handle. Plus the faired bikes we have here aren't exactly aerodynamic.

Windblast actually is tougher to handle in case of our faired indian bikes. 170 -180ish is a very real top speed to expect from this bike IMO
              respect ma authoritae!!

165-170kmph is absolutely possible on a naked bike with any windblast issues.

what remains to be seen is if this Mahindra bike can do those speeds.

it becomes difficult to hold on to the bike at 160kmph unless u crouch , AFter crouching u can hit 200+ too.

For comfy riding on a naked (highways), 140 is max.

You need to clarify that 200 is for the z750 and not for the diablo, otherwise people will go crazy

true maybe... for "comfy riding"... i was talking about top whack.

i've topped out on a 400RR at over 180kmph (had taken off the fairing)
personally... i din't have any issues with windblast trying to rip me off the bike.
tho i did miss the fairing.

come to think of it... this bike will prolly go to about a true 145kmph. ish.

and pls clarify that u aren't claiming that Mahindra will go 200+

                      --------

if this bike is liquid cooled...
it's quite likely that Mahindra will come up with a faired version too.

The question is here not the Bike ability to cruise at higher speeds ..even a P220 with proper mod will reach 150kmph..

the actual issue is how wind affects u in higher speeds ..at that speed small lean from windblast can prove fatal ..

ask even with any comet guys they tell u the actual ..story

Ninja and R15 both aerodynamically designed.

top speed. that's all i was talking about.

i understand that "ability to cruise at higher speeds" is altogether a different topic.

that's one of the reasons why i put the R15 front end on my P18O.

                          • If it can cruise (i mean it) at 120kmph...thats great for our roads. I think apart from Ninja 250R we dont have bikes that can CRUISE at 120kmph barring the bigges..

Honestly people have high hopes from this product. I'm not expecting anything above 150 as true top speed. 145-150 to be more specific

We have the experience of taking many naked bikes above 180 and its simply not fun. The windblast is just too much. For any naked bike specially on Indian riding conditions 160 is the upper comfort limit.
Touching 180-200 and staying at that speed are two completely different things
