Their sales and service netwrok is still a very big question. The bike is most probably ready but I wonder how they will support to the customer once its on sale.More concern if its a V-TwinOriginally posted by payeng View PostWhile some manufacturer's have yet to decide on catering to this 250-400 cc (affordably priced) void, looks like Mahindra might "Just do it".

Things have to begin somewhere.. good to see some movement at least.

Agree and I'm really very happy. But like they have done their homework in coming out an exciting new product they would have made their backend equally strong. Reports of Duro and Rodeo after sales are not good.Originally posted by payeng View PostThings have to begin somewhere.. good to see some movement at least.
But that said I might still go for the bike if it has almost everything that I'm looking for.
I like the face though the parking lights looks cheap to me.

Sports bike vs street bike?Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostI think 1.5-1.75 lakhs would be a more realistic pricing. But still we havent seen half of the bike leave alone knowing about its specifications. If they are able to price it somewhere that range then it will give sleepless nights to the Ninja!!
customer base is entirely different.
and 250R has the ominous advantage in my books,
inline and a Jap.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

I feel Mahindra got what they wanted from this!
BUZZ!!
I think the idea was to announce their arrival in the two wheelers segment and they have done so in style.
Though looking closely at the AV it could be that they are just showcasing a higher end bike and have chosen Italy to create that Premium Imagery.
Notice the words in the AV 'Tested' in Italy, not 'designed', not 'made' but tested.
What it really is will have to unfold but surely a great way to kickstart another entrant in the market.

thats true..I think this is what M 2 wheelers will do.
Remember there was also news that a mass market rugged bike is also ready. this teaser/launch will create a required buzz about presence in the bike market.

single disc front brake - so not very very big engine.
then clutch lever, brake lever looks like mass production type. no alloys etc..just plain and simple.
definately not a race bike, like the R15, think the track is for promotion only. simple handle bar, no clip ons...
obviously riding posture is more naked bike type..again not much race.
then we all know, LC etc etc..
more observations please
hope mine are useful
anyways the Hyosung 650..
not fair to say, as all these nakeds almost look the same..Last edited by DASCO; 09-12-2010, 03:39 PM.
