There's a thread here in xBhp that was to discuss about CBR 250R before it was launched. See the kind of comments what people left there. Most people who commented there were not even the people who could afford for one!!! Let me tell you some examples; visible weld marks, bike doesn't appear big, large panel gaps. All of these were totally crappy statements. I mean, welding is visible even on R15 or even the KTM; bike & appearing big, I don't need to comment as there're enough pics floating around to show which is big; panel gaps, I don't know what to say!!!

Even after so much issues, I only have positive things about the bike. Why?
    1. Spares are way affordable than N250R
    2. I get perfection; like I keep saying, buying is one time affair, but maintenance is for lifetime, I'm able to maintain, unlike seeking for alternative parts to save.
    3. An ASC that is available throughout the country, nothing like, only in the Tier 1 cities
    4. I've a quarter liter international sports bike (a bike that is sold even in the developed European countries) for my daily use of 50-60 Kms.

Last but not the least, look anything with open mind & you can easily differentiate between the good & bad instead of being a blind fan boy or hatred towards anything.

PS - No need to answer me, people's attitude are revealed by their posts here
So ppl who buy splendors/platina/star city wont have right to talk about more expensive bikes it seems.
ASC might be available throught the country but is pathetic. Since 2 months Im searching for a RVM for my stunner bt cant find one. They suggest to use old models
Iv to drive my bike in India so it doesnt matter much its sold in Europe or whatever.
Agreed that newer CBRs dont have build niggles but earlier ones had and there were pics posted by many owners showing rusting signs and paint peel in some places on new bikes. so its not good to hide if the issues were there.
Its good that they worked upon those and are now providing better quality.

Ya, its a very negative trend being followed these days.
    Its more rampant now.

People start brand wars, useless comparos; etc to say the least.

And aargee sir, if the proverb 1st impression == Last impression implies for the auto industry then all products must be deemed a failure.
Its only the initial feedback that helps manufacturers improve their products.

And regarding the pricing, I feel its not over priced. Its tech demands that price.
You've a world class respected product at half the price of its nearest rival, what more?
For the Katoom, this is just the introductory price, it'll be increased soon.

    [OT]
Not to start any brand war, but a very well known Auto company has had serious issues with every new launched model of its!
We celebrate the brand, but blame others. Why?
    [/OT]

I have been seeing 2 CBRs (250 cc ones) in my office parking lot for 5+ months now. Chennai climate being humid, steel parts must have rusted by now.
My Hero Honda engine paint peeled off (talk about HMC's finish), but those CBRs are sparkling new!
    Seems they improved. cool

What makes you think you'd be any safe here
Anyway, you're welcome to do a positive critic or tell the facts even if its worse in the ownership thread; we'll only be glad to accept it rather than defending than a stupid crazy fanatic as we do not idolize someone nor get payed by them.

Like what? Care to explain as you seem to reasonable?

Tell you what happened with CBR 250R...
    - The CBR tag always stood for race/track machine
    - Either Honda's fault or people's misconception, the name went for a toss when the bike was not a track machine
    - Most people expected it to be an alternative for N250R, but Honda positioned it totally in a different segment
    - Over & above, the first lot had issues

Probably a little overpriced which seem to be the case now especially with 200NS, Katoom & C150R. Otherwise, the product is good.

I also heard the same from my SVC manager. The same person who told me the tentative launch date of CBR 150 as March 2012 6 months back, yes you are right, even before the launch in Auto Expo.

Yes Payeng, P200NS is in my mind, but I will wait for six months after the launch of P200NS and decide based on reviews.
