-1, CBR with its super overpricing is a product not going to be success in the market. P200 is already success with huge number of people already booked and showing interest in it. With its Super VFM I am sure it will rock the sales in the segment like never before. Apart from that Bajaj ASS is the best to say the least. (personaly exp)

p200ns will save be loads of money which i can invest on buying better riding gear.
+1, P200 NS = UTTER VFM. You can invest then in buying better riding gear and also in the price difference you can fill in petrol and enjoy for 2-3 years. Apart from that P200NS has the grunt and acceleration which equals CBR 250 and cannot be matched by comparatively tiny 150cc engines. The feeling of bigger engine will always be there. Best buy at this time. Congrats Sayank.

It would be wise for you to come to a conclusion once the P200NS is launched and road tests available for CBR150R and P200NS. If you have already come to a conclusion, no comments.

Many of us are expecting the CBR150R to be sluggish due to its low peak torque. One can't just figure out the behavior of the engine just on the peak figures. It all depends on the torque curve throughout the RPM range. Nobody knows what amount of toruqe CBR150R produces at lower RPM range, hence its premature to say the bike would be sluggish. If CBR150R has good linear torque at lower RPMs than R15, surely CBR150R can beat R-15 at traffic signal.

CBR150 is launched mostly to counter the R-15. Honda would definitely see that its performance stays in the same league as R15. Lets wait for the some test results.

This article may be helpful in understanding torque and power.

Quote from the article: "So, which is more important - torque or horsepower? Well, both are important, but torque at the drive wheels is what's really important to the performance of your vehicle."

Well what I have learnt the bookings of current cbr 250 std has been stopped reason the company has made more of cbr 250 abs with old fittings and that's the reason why we all r not getting the std as they r promoting the abs rather than the std version

I guess what he has used is Round(PS*1000/Weight,0)

Anyway, time for some numbers and facts. Quick comparison with the bike which I feel this is rightly pitched against.

    Bike | Yamaha R15 | Honda CBR 150R
    Maximum Torque | 15N.m / 7,500rpmm | 12.66 Nm@8500 rpm
    Maximum Power | 16.8 bhp | 17.58 bhp
    Displacement | 149.8 cc | 149.4 cc
    Kerb Weight | 136 kg | 138 kg
    Power to weight ratio | 123.52 | 127.39
    Tank Capacity | 12 Ltr | 13 Ltr
    Dimensions | 1970X670X1070 | 2000X825X1120
    Wheel Base | 1345 | 1305
    Ground Clearance | 160 | 190
    Battery | 12v 3.5A | 12v 6A
    Head Light | Lo beam12V/35W X1, Hi beam12V/35W X2 | 12v 60/55 H4
    Onroad Price@Bangalore | 1.30 Lakhs | 1.40 Lakhs

I remember reading the note in the Drag Race game in the Android platform mentioning something like "Numbers might be deceptive hence take a test ride before buying". Holds good in the real world too.

All said, I am glad that we as buyers are being picky about great bikes cause we are getting to the phase of being spoiled with options.

Its a nice game guessing which horse will win the race, but you never know which, till one crosses the finish line. Its a 50\50 chance for all horses to win. You might win the pool, you might lose all your money on the bet.

Same with our opinions(for now).....unless we reason out our 'opinions' with more than 50% accuracy, its useless to that guy or anyone else.

If someone decides to run a betting game here, then im also game for random speculations.

But I have to say samarth 619s point reasoning the low max torque is very digestible... i.e ...12 odd nm of torque being evenly distributed or gradually rising throughout the rev range as against a sharp rise towards the point of max torque.
